I guess the maker of this video just basically aced the folk revival out of the anti Vietnam protests. I guess Phil Ochs, Pete Seeger, and Bob Dylan were just jabronis.
@RPenta FYI, this VN segment was only a small part of the PBS program, 'Get Up, Stand Up...the Story of Pop and Protest' which documented the ALL types of protest music starting around 1930. So actually, 'the maker of this video' got it right.
Im a Libertarian, and I would of opposed Vietnam had I lived at the time, but I hate people who hate the troops. The Vietnam Vets were GREAT men, who were awnsering the call of duty, even if they opposed it personally. Blame the General, not the troops.
@Russiansniper87 Gotta search the net, 'vietnam pro war music.' you'll see a site called 'Freedom Road' that lists all music from that era, protest and pro-war. Not much of what you're looking for out there. Only one that I remember was 'Ballad of The Green Berets' Good luck!
@TheJbrey96 The 'background' music to the Vietnam footage at the very beginning was "In A Gadda Da Vida" by Iron Butterfly. Then It went into "Purple Haze" by Jimi Hendrix. The first 'featured' song was "Run Through The Jungle," by Creedence Clearwater Revival. Hope this helps :)
