I can understand KZ trying to be more westernised but banning drinking and smoking in public places? And I totally agree with your opinion on no drinking under 21. How can you be classified as a legally responsible adult at 18 but deemed too irresponsible to drink? It's the same as having to pay adult rates for the bus fare at 16! The government just wants it all their own way!

I think on balance, the ban is (just about) justified. KZ is converging to Western standards, for better or for worse. People are going to be (mostly) drinking at home now
