  • The finest citizen with a wlarus neck and shit between the ears in kentucky

  • He looks shady.

  • Republicans say that big corporations need tax breaks so they can "create jobs.” Baloney! This is what they do with the money they keep: pay staggering salaries to their big bosses; ship American jobs overseas; and squeeze ever tighter the employees who remain. When in human history has a nation ever benefited from the tender mercy of the rich? Never, that’s when. It was the middle class who made this country great and now they are being sold down the river. Wake up folks!

  • In the 2010 election, 28% of eligible voters went to the polls. The GOP rhetoric about mandates or "the people" speaking is a bunch of snow. These guys all shilled for the two most expensive wars in American history, and unfunded tax cuts for the richest people who have ever walked the earth. The government and the deficit expanded more than ever before under Bush. Now they want you to believe they're going to cut the budget!

  • Senator McConnell has long been our firewall in the Senate. Good man!

  • McConnell has to talk this way, where the heck does he think the money is going to come from with a population of over 20% unemployed, the house of cards are comming down and he has to say something positive or the SHTF from the public, people are hanging on by their fingertips to stay afloat, his talk wont change the fact that we have no indrustry anymore, I don't see the yellow brick road Senator.

  • Senator McConnell , can you bitch slap Lisa Murkowski for me when you see her? or better yet, can you give her to Obama? they seem so right together

  • Dear Mr. McConnell. We're glad to see that you're enjoying being back in the majority party in the House. But remember, we voted for you and we will keep an eye on you to make sure that you do as you say you will. Thank you.

  • FLIP FLOP!

  • Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant, Big business bailed out by taxpayers.

  • About time the GOP and the Dems to come around and take care of the peoples business.

  • Thank You Mitch

  • Oh and I love the way these Republican senators all talk about how bad the economy is yet when it came time to pass the unemployment extensions they did everything to stop it. They forgot the unemployed were Republicans too who vote for them. It's not our fault the economy is bad. We aren't on Welfare - we want jobs.

  • @ThePokerfacemama Extending unemployment has no long term positive effect on the economy.

  • @xGibsonx Really? I think a child having food on the table to live to be an adult is certainly a long term positive effect. Think about all the struggling families.

  • @ThePokerfacemama I know the struggle. I have personal ties to the struggle.. but people get complacent. Do you know how retardedly easy it is to get, and keep getting unemployment checks? "Actively searching for work" is just as easy as searching for a remote controller. Not saying that everyone abuses it, but as far as the people that have been on it for this long.. chances are they are abusing it.

  • @ThePokerfacemama We simply can not afford to pay people for not working any longer. Seek out a food pantry!

  • @john51880 I hope you are joking because nobody is that bitter. First I don't need to "seek out a food pantry" because I JUST GOT A JOB. Second a food pantry doesn't nourish a 2 year old BABY. That's ok because charma comes around. Thank God I got a job just this week so I will be ok. I don't mind a few dollars of my paycheck going toward getting someone else on their feet. After all, this isn't Welfare people who plan on never working. Those are the people you should be angry at.

  • @ThePokerfacemama The Republicans "can't afford" to pay unemployment for hardworking Americans or healthcare for 9/11 responders. They can, however pay for unfunded tax cuts for millionaires. These people are vile beyond measure.

  • I am a Republican and I was unemployed and I was shocked how the Republicans didn't pass the extensions and used the spending excuse to stop them. I hope this Lame Duck Democratic Congress remembers this when they try to pass the Bush Tax Cuts. Notice how spending doesn't come in to play when it benefits the Republicans causes? I always voted Republican but will never do so again because of this current congress Their goal is to make Obama look bad they don't care about the American people.

  • In 2006 & 2008 when the "America people spoke" to tell McConnell that the GOP ideology was cancerous and needed to be removed, how much did he take that to heart? When Obama won in an overwhelming landslide in 2008, how much interest did McConnell have in what the "America people" said? When Obama wins a 2nd term, will McConnell say, "The American people have spoken and we need to listen to them". Of course not. McConnell doesn't give fuck-ONE what "the American people" want! Douchbag!

  • Hey Mitch.. any comment on Bush quoting you about bringing troops home to win the 2006 elections? Mitch..you are a double talker? do you have a soul?

  • Great speech! Thanks for hearing us, Senator!

  • I give Minority Leader Mcconnell credit for this but as the expression goes "the proof is in the pudding". Minority Leader Mcconnell has been a major supporter of Earmarks in the past.
