  • i seen this befor it crazy i seen it 27 times even got pic of them

  • i live not very far from here and i have seen the same thing ALMOST every night last summer in around the same spot... this is real i promise!!!

  • its a UFO COP giving a UFO driver a speeding ticket

  • Interesting that there are so many hoaxers out there that when that seems as legitimate as does this one that there is no trust or recognition of the obvious. Now in 2011 with ever increasing sitings that seem unidentified, the naysayers wear blinders...........

  • From my limited studies in unidentified craft, this one seems to be what is termed a "Probe." These UFOs are smaller and more cylindrical than mother craft. The hallmarks of these ships are these: they can stay in spots for hours or even days, they are cylindrical and rotate (kind of looks like a kid's sippy-cup), and their movement is typically slower and the angles used in flight are not as dramatic as those disc looking crafts.

  • @saltjunkie77 In fact, there is a video out there called the "London Landing," which shows a probe leaving a larger disc shaped ship.

  • It blinked red and white and was the brightest thing in the sky. At one point it seemed to emit a blue light and I could see the lights reflection on some clouds. It only moved every few minutes but generally stayed in the same area until it somehow relocated westward within some 15 minutes I wasn't watching...

  • When my roomate came home at 3am I showed him the "star" but it wasn't moving. Then we sat down for 15 minutes and when I got up and looked out the window again, the "star" had moved a very noticeable distance to the west. My roomie confirmed it had definitely moved from its previous spot.

  • JANUARY 29 2AM- I saw the SAME thing early this morning--

. It looked at first like a distant plane or a satellite blinking red and white, but then I noticed it wasn't moving as either of those objects would. I could see it wobbling a bit and wondered if it was just my eyes. Then it made some wide motions- hovering in circles, back and forth in one spot, as if to gather energy to hover stably.

  • I saw this in nov 2010. I live 20 min. north of Asheville. It seemed to be in the area of Mount Mitchel. Our house faces the Blue Ridge Parkway from the west so we were looking east. We have seen three different types of UFOs in the area. Three red globes in Oct...(Could have been unmaned planes training for Afganistan acording to the police). We saw an orange globe in the spring of 2010...The same one showed up on TV in Phonix on the news a few days after we saw it....

  • its a star you moron

  • this was real. great job buddy.

  • i saw this all last summer every night in different locations . i was told it was a satellite. it was a little bigger than a star and it flashes different colors

  • @bubbabouyi Sorry bubba, this was below clouds and hovered for a long period of time and then rose up through the clouds. Sat's don't do that.

  • o wow realy

  • @bubbabouyi was in raleigh, saw it there too. all over the sky

  • @bubbabouyi satellites don't hover in one area then suddenly move to another, as I saw it do early this morning, Jan 29 2am

  • I don't know what's worse: That a dumb tourist got his camera out and starting filming a police car on a road pulling someone over, higher in elevation than his position... or that 52 people watched the video, commented, and none came to this conclusion. If you're from here, you see this many nights. In the winter, it's illegal to be on the Parkway. The road is closed. You would get pulled over. End of story. Another easily solved mystery. You're welcome.

  • @cherubiceric

I appreciate most of your comment and I can see where you might say this is so obvious, However, I want to assure you that despite the lack of clarity in the video, the silhouette of hills and mountains were plainly visible to the naked eye. I work for a fire department, I'm quite familiar with the wa emergency vehicle lights look both near and far away. I guarantee you, this was not that. Also, the sighing was longer than the video, go read my full 1st comment description.

  • @anon1104 I saw this on 6 different occasions last year and after my friends called me crazy, I got a call that there was a crowd outside Ingles on Tunnel Ave in broad daylight all pointing up in the sky asking eachother what it was. I want to know if it is back this year as I had to leave Asheville. Definitely paranormal activity and I called the police to ask them and they had no answers for me.

  • you're an idiot. NC police cars don't look like that.@cherubiceric

  • you're an idiot. NC police cars don't look like that. Where are you from?@cherubiceric

  • A police car has someone pulled over on a mountain ridge. You must not be from the mountains. Even though you can't see the Blue Ridge Parkway at night, it's still there. Probably some kids getting busted smoking pot.

  • An interesting sighting.. you say it was totally cloudy and this object was below the clouds... if it were a non cloudy starry night, then I'd say its a planet seen low on the horizon through a lot of atmosphere. That can make stars/planets appear to 'twinkle' differnent colors. But if it was really completely cloudy, then I don't know.

  • kenfo your a bitch. this guy is just giving his opinion on what he thinks it is. He inst trying to say theres aliens in the sky floating around.

  • You people are nucking futs. You are looking at one of 3 things: a star ( Sirius, Canopus), a planet (Venus, Jupiter, Mercury or Mars) or the Int. Space station. It is absolutely astounding, in this age, to have an adult look at the night sky and call a common sight a "UFO". You remark "oh my goodness....it's still not moving"; as opposed to what? If it is moving, does that make it even MORE a UFO? I hope you people don't vote (you shouldn't until you get fantasy under control).

  • While I don't appreciate what you wrote, I think it's important that you wrote it.

    A) No I'm not nuts.

    B) If you can tell me how a planet, star or international space station can appear below cloud cover I'd be more than willing to hear the explanation.

    C) I said that on the video with the hopes that it would move. I had hoped it was merely a plane on approach. It wasn't. My comment, I believe, speaks to my genuine amazement at what we were witnessing at the time.

    D) Read the description!

  • (con't) doing so completes the experience. The camera batteries ran out, however the sighting continued to an incredible finish.

    E) Do some fact checking...find out the weather in that locale on the date in question. I assure you it will validate my contention regarding the cloudiness of the sky.

    F) We were not alone watching this object. I wish others would come forward.

In closing I'll just say this; I stand by my words and this video as being entirely legitimate. Think what you want.

  • This object was flying through clear dark skies under high cloud cover. You could see for miles. You could see the hillsides, the tower that some have mentioned, and many other things. That object was high above it all hanging in a clear night sky. Beyond the object were high clouds and no stars to be seen. Just this one hovering and spinning object color changing object.

  • It IS important that I wrote it, as I am one of few people on this planet who is not either a nut, liar, or stupid. It is absolutely INCREDIBLE that you would fight and fight to try to make this something "other wordly", and take offense. It is common today for people to have crazy and/or stupid views and to peddle them as educated. "Obama's for change!": really? what change? "your a racist if you don't vote for Obama": uh, he should be elected BECAUSE of his race? "Morality is immoral", etc.

  • Sorry Ken...at no time did I say this was "otherworldy". I said it was an unidentified flying object. Which it is, or was. It did something I've never seen an aircraft do. It remained in a stable position for a long time spinning and changing colors. When it was done it rose up through the clouds and disappeared from sight. I don't know what it was, I only know what it wasn't. It wasn't any publicly known conventional aircraft, nor was it land-based, or space-based.

  • Why you'd take my simple observation as an opportunity to define me as either nuts, stupid, or a liar is beyond me. I just saw something in the sky, filmed it and reported it. It's not like I went looking for the darn thing. My wife and I were leaving a movie on our way back to the hotel. Other people, locals prolly, were all looking up at this object. If there was anything nutty about all of us it was the fact that we stood in 32 degrees to watch an object turn colors & spin in the sky.

  • Point is that there's no reason you should be getting all emotional over this. If you find it unbelievable say so and move on. Save the name calling for your inner thoughts. If you have a legitimate explanation for what we witnessed, which you can prove beyond a minimal amount of doubt was capable of flying as this thing did tell me here and now. If not join us in admitting the object is what I said it is...an unidentifiable flying object.

  • Thanks for posting this video My wife and I saw this exact same object high in the sky just last night while out on our back deck. I thought it might be a satellite but it moved around a lot. I've seen satellites and the space station go over from our deck and this was nothing like them. The flashing lights were so strange. It then just got smaller and smaller like it was heading into space and then just faded away without ever passing over the horizon. Alamance, NC January 9, 2009

  • funny thing is, i saw this in wendell Nc last year....

  • I see them every time we get done making a batch O'shine ;-)

  • It's been almost two years. We've shared many comments, good bad and ugly. I'd like to ask someone who lives in or near Asheville to do me (or us) a favor. On Jan. 27th (+ OR - 1 DAY), 2009 please bring a camera to the parking lot of the movie theatre from where I filmed this ufo. Do it once during the daytime and then again at night. Then upload the vids here as video responses. Do as I did in my vid, show the stores as a point of reference and scan the sky and see what can be seen. Thanks!

  • i live in NC lol and ive got to say theres qwite a few ufo fightings here dont you

    agree.

  • @anon1104 JANUARY 29 2AM I spotted this from my back porch in downtown Asheville. I watched it for 2 hours as it occasionally flew in small but eratic motions, seeming to stablize itself on occasional moves. When my roomate came home at 3am I showed him the "star" but it wasn't moving. Then we sat down for 15 minutes and when I got up and looked out the window again, the "star" had moved a very noticeable distance to the west. My roomie confirmed it had definitely moved from its previous spot.

  • I've seen the exact same thing in Rio de Janeiro, around ten years ago. It stayed still changing colors for several minutes and than went up really fast. A friend saw it too.

  • seeing UFOs?

    yep, you're from Asheville....

  • a person with the capcity for abstract thought...Yet denied of it because, the truth you saw, hurt your brain..Dear Baby Jesus, Pleasee use your Baby Jesus powers and Help Mallorie, See the light..amen..Thanks you dear baby Jesus, so cute and cuddely yet still omnipotent

  • The first time I noticed activity in the area was back in 1986 when I went with a group of friends out near the North Fork Reservoir to view Halley's Comet. While waiting, we noticed a "shooting star" going across the sky. We watched it for a few seconds when all of a sudden it changed directions and increased its speed and shot off at a 90° angle from its original path.

  • Great vid. I live in NC too and I see ufos all the time. Too bad no one believes me!

  • add me? i l ive in NC to theres alot of ufo's here and its cooll i beleve you

  • wow..cool man! but i think it just a satelite

  • i have seen them all over too, and first saw them in New Mexico. When looking through a telescope, they appear as a spectrum of lights moving in a figure 8. They rapidly move across the sky but you can't tell with the naked eye. I have seen them here in Asheville and when travelling as well.

  • Great footage. These objects are appearing all over the world.

  • Hmm... i work at that boston market.... lol

  • pretty sweet, i live in waynesville nc, which isn't too far from asheville.

back in january of 07 i saw a simmilar object in asheville with my friend, the object darted in random directions every once in a while and we could see the clear outline of it, it also changed colors and for a long time remained pretty stationary, maybe we witnessed the same UFO.

  • Was it Jan 25th?

  • i honestly couldn't tell you the exact date, but it was around that time of year.

  • Couldn't this have been a light on a high mountain located in back of and thus farther away than the mountain whose outline you could clearly see? If so, you may not have been able to see the outline of the farther, higher mountain, and the light would appear to be floating high in the sky. Many times I've seen house lights on these high mountains and had to do a double-take before realizing what I was seeing.

  • I've answered this before for someone else. No it's not a light on the hill. The camera doesnt pick up the outline of the hillside and unless you go to the parking lot of the cinema its hard to appreciate. The hills were plainly visible far below the object. The highest hill, owned or once owned by the Vanderbilts is just visible to the left and even it was far below where the object is. Rest assured I wouldnt post this if I thought it was anything other that an unidentifiable object flying.

  • lmao.

  • campfire on the mountainside

  • No not a campfire on the mountain. As I state in my description this object was high in the sky. The darkness of the video doesn't allow you the viewer to see what we could all see with our naked eye; namely the mountain line. Which from the parking lot is easily visible and gives a clear definition of its locale. This was not on the mountain it was well above it.

  • now that i watch this video again,i notice his camera makes the streetlights look like they are changin colors too.

  • As I said its a cheesy camera. But beyond that, my narration stands. What we could see with our own eyes was an object changing colors. The video is not the witness its a tool. I am the witness. And we were not alone. At least 12 people stopped to watch this in the parking lot with us.

  • mindfreak is right

  • omg thats the same thing i saw last night and i thought the same thing and i live in fayetteville north carolina

  • that is a fuckin star

  • my words exactly

  • You kiss your mother with that mouth? No it was no star. I've completed my Astronomy courses and I'm quite certain I'd know the difference. Try and understand. It was cloudy this was below the clouds. You could see the clouds pass above it. No sir. Not a star.

  • excellent references in the video. do not listen to the skeptics here, i believe because i have witnessed and videotaped the same craft in virginia. i can be seen by typing in suffolk, va ufo. this is a REAL video!

  • its a blinking light....oh my gosh...run forrest run

  • Yea its a tower dumbass, i live down the road lol its on top of the Mountain

  • Lol theres no tower there behind the market

  • ive seen that tower on the interstate before

  • There are towers but again let me reiterate that in no uncertain terms was this object anywhere near the ground. It was as high as a plane might fly or a little less. It was wobbling about and remaining in position. It was not a tower.

  • Iono if thats da same 1 but i seen one It would just sit there, change from like blue to green to red i even zoomed in real close 1 time and i saw like really really tiny lights going to and from it. then after bout n hour it just vanished.

  • shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

    They are listening

  • On voit pas grand chose ? :s

    fr

  • BELIEVE

  • I live in Tenn mountains and I want to see a ufo...lol..tell them to fly over here real quick

  • I hope you someday see a UFO, record it as I did and then put it out there for all to see in an effort to establish some ideas as to what it was or to find other witneses only to have people who werent there and dont give a rats behind about what youve experienced and that they leave a ridiculous quip for you to respond to like I am doing right now. If you have nothing legitimate to add I'd rather you just be on your way.

  • nifty!

  • ...bigfoot reports are also up in NC...

  • it's a tower dumbass, I know the area.

  • Though its not visible in the video, standing there in person you can easily see the rolling hills. This object was high in the sky. As I said my batteries ran out, but I and others watched it rise quickly into the clouds and disappear after about 20 mins. So unless the tower had wings...

  • No, you idiot, there is no fucking UFO, unless you are on acid. It's a tower, like Imunderthecherrymoon said.

  • Interesting. North Carolina UFO reports are way up lately. Thanks for posting this!

  • It was a satelite moving, they change colours on the sky, I can see a satelite blinking just a couple of miles out of the city at night, from my appartment. It looks like they change colours because of all the air-interference from you and out into the space. Sometimes they are close to the earth when changing position.

  • Perhaps if it wasn't cloudy I'd agree with you. But for a while it was very cloudy. And this thing punched stright through the clouds out of sight. We left the theater and went to downtown asheville for dinner afterwards at "Bouchon's" it remained cloudy. I noted it in conersation with my wife as we parked 2 blocks away and during our walk we talked about what happened. It did clear up later that night but the object was no where in sight. I was up all night thinking about it.

  • ok, that weird then, how far away would you say "it" was ? Was it in space or in the air ?

  • It was below the clouds but high above the hills. At one point I turned the camera sideways so to provide some perspective. In that moment you can see 2 street lights, these were about 75 yards away. The object appeared to be 6-10 miles away. Though its not visible in the footage, in person you can make out the ridgeline of the many hills. Above those the object just hung there spinning around.

  • ok, You should have driven through it in your car :-)

Did you see it disappear ?

  • There are apartments just down the block from the movie theater and what looks like condos or townhomes in the area called "Biltmore..." something. I suppose if you saw them on TV they might look like condos.

  • Wow I was just reading an article right now on UFO in North Carolina. Was this near apartments? It was also reported on WXII 12.
