  • I...I want to ride one of the carts going down that!

  • They have something simmilar to this At their HQ Store

  • 2 story K-mart?! I want to go there!!

  • Ikea does it better

  • This one look like the one in cali

  • Five years and nobody has suggested putting a cart on the track with a baby in it?

  • i have been to a grocery store where the whole escalator could take carts with it.

instead of having to quickly 'catch' your cart

And this was over 10 years ago

  • Im glad I'm not the SFT for that store! Think of the PM/CM WO for that!

  • Vermaports are in a wal-world in Salt Lake City,UT. As these big-box stores build more 2 story buildings these will become much more common. Make much more sense than elevators alone! However you can't avoid the cost of elevators because wheelchairs don't do well! I promise! If you were to take a wheelchair down that it would get you're (and everyone else's) undivided attention!!!

  • The girl who puts the cart in at 00:22 is hot

  • haha thats pretty sick

  • I wish our store had that, but then again we're only 1 floor, lol *sarcastic irony*

  • Um...seriously? I can't decide if that's way cool or way fail.

  • they have those in home depot

  • wowowowowowowowowowowowowowowowow

  • IKEA has been doing the same thing for years... particularly in Schaumnurg, IL

  • @TimothySEnglish I been to Ikea in Schaumnurge IL!

  • i rode on those before :) the secrity laughed and ongratulated me

  • we only have the cart escalator that goes down at our store 2087 in oak lawn and when it gets stuck they have me walk down it...which isn't safe or brand!

  • That is kick-ass!!

  • they have this in a wal-mart in LA mall

  • there's one like that here in Portland, OR

  • cool!!!

D= none of the targets here have that!! -.-

where in the us do they have those escalators??

  • In cities like Minneapolis, Minnesota, or Nashua, New Hampshire.

  • SpongeStorm4000: I have been to the Target in Nashua NH! I will upload a video of the cart escalators when I find the file (riding the people escalator then putting camera in cart).

  • I heard about this type of thing and this my first time seeing it

  • is this lakewood mall?

  • thats bad ass

  • they hae it at mine

  • None of the targets that I go to don't have this

  • Comment removed

  • love target

  • That is soo COOL

  • That's fucking cool.

  • 1878! Woot!

  • that girl in the jeans has a nice butt

  • i agree..

  • This is a waste of money. This was a better investment than say, an ELEVATOR?

  • No. It is handy for people who don't want to use the elevator.

  • they've had that forever in europe

  • is that tanforan?

  • lol! Target is love <3

  • "20 seconds remaining..Who's responding?" "Service level exceeded"

  • "Additional cashiers to the front lanes...blue side"

  • i hate that! and most of the time they dont really need you

  • I have a simpler and cheaper solution, ready for this?? The elevator!

All the time I have seen people push baby strollers, shopping carts, etc onto escalators...and it bugs me, thats why there is something called the elevator!

  • 1307

  • Target will rip you off and they will fuck you over don't shop at TARGET!

  • wow at least you have a target Hawaii sucks :-(

  • this is at Topanga Plaza.....!!!

  • Wow. who cares. we have that all over. bestbuy, safeway, target, etc.

  • LOOK THE CART IS RED!!

  • DAAAAAANNNGGGGG I want that at my target I gotta tell my grandma about this!

  • is the elmhurst queens target?

    Ooh the VermaPort!

  • we have a walmart like this.

  • that girl is fine

  • the one with da pink

  • WHOA!! That is soooooooo AWESOME!! I wish my Target would have 2 floors.

  • This is Minneapolis because of the cop

  • is that the tanforan one

  • thats where to go if the zombies take over...

    bring guns :)

  • Oh WOW this is Queens Target, New York City.

  • awesome. uh, team members don't tuck shirts in....cuz we tend to wear polo's.

  • Holy shit! I had that idea like 8 years ago and they finally have it now!!!

  • i would get kicked out for riding it

  • yeah we have one of those in lone tree, colorado. nothing new, but you still gotta love 'em.

  • only downtown Minneapolis needs so many cops in the stores

  • i have an idea 1st floor - games and all kinds of guy shit.

    2nd floor - womens shit.

  • IF IT WAS ME I WOULD FILL THE CART UP AS HEAVIEST AS I COULD AND SEE HOW FAR IT WOULD GO. LOL

    a two floor target awesome!

  • I saw it when I went to Florida.

  • That is seriously amazing.

  • Its called a vermaport...

  • oh snap!

  • Sorry to say, as much as i WORSHIP Target stores, this isn't thier innocation. I saw this for the first time 8 years ago in the Chicago area IKEA.

  • I worked at this store you have posted. People would be so amazed and would take pictures and video just like you.

  • Target has had those cart escalators for about 5 years; first store I knew of having it was the downtown Minneapolis store.

  • yeah they have this in Atlanta at the store on Peachtree and Lennox RD

  • that's the store where i first saw it and i thought it was so cool. the first store outside of a mall i've been to with garage parking also.

  • The only interesting thing about Target around here is that it's connected to a mall. And let's just say it's not exactly the safest mall in the state. lol

  • haha check out MY target video. i think you'll find it a little more entertaining...trust me

  • thats slick

  • Checkout my Target video.

    TargetLayaway

  • Cool! They also have this at the Target store in Stamford, CT.

  • that is so cool. I live in Youngstown, OH and we got 2 Target stores but no escalator like that but it would be cool to have one.

  • omg thats plain normal.. nothing special...

  • The IKEA store in Schaumburg, IL has one of those. It's been there at least 3 years.

  • That's the Mall 205 or Jantzen Beach store. Those were put in by the previous merchant, Montgomery Ward I beleive it was. So much for that being a Target innovation.

  • This was actually the store in downtown Minneapolis. An innovative two story Target that is a concept store. At this point, there might be more. But since Minneapolis is Targets home base, I think it was the first.

  • There are a few 2 story Targets but most are pre-existing structures. The current main prototypes are a one level standard Target offset entry and a 2 entry Super Target.

  • @mkingsle weve had this technology in the dmv area for more then 5 years at least now-its the one located in rockville md

  • @SirEuchre montgomery ward has been closed for longer then 10 years that store looks pretty new lol

  • @josh198869 you don't think Target (or any retailer) remodels when they take over a store? Don't think a bunch of Montgomery Ward colors and signage with jive too well with Target's obsessive 'brand' image. Target also remodels... a lot. BTW, you did notice this video was posted 5 years ago, right? No telling how truly old the video is either.

  • @SirEuchre yeah i dont know man i know kroger bought up alot of the old albertson stores and just put there name on it but yeah i get what your saying lol

  • There is A walmart store in Southen Ca than has A cart mover like that, When was this video taken ?
