which means soy beans.

The dish you ordered is not traditional stinky tofu, it's a deep fried variant that taste like agedashi tofu in Japanese cuisine

When I was in Taiwan I made the mistake of eating Cho Do Fu (I think thats how you spell stinky tofu in English). Anyways I didnt even have the courage to swallow. Im suprised that you tried it again even though the results were good. You couldnt pay me to eat another bite! Great videos from Taiwan Ken. They bring back fond memories!

P.S. Go to East Side Mountain Duck Head King if you can. Its an amazing restaurant experience!

you need to have some "pao chai" (pickled veggies) with your stinky tofu. taiwan has a kimchi that is very different from korean. i like taiwans a million times better than korean kimchi.

My Senior year we went to Washington DC in 1980 to march in the Cherry Blossom Parade representing the State of Ohio. It was great! I was born in Taiwan, and I gotta say Taiwan has a lot of awesome food from the northern part all the way to the southern part. make sure you visit Tainan!!! Our food is awesome, but the presentation might not be as elegant as the Japanese~still awesome to eat!! Enjoy your stay there Ken!
