@crysisdood you are very, very stupid. A boot test is how fast the os boots not how fast it loads programs. If you want to see that, go find another video.
You PC guys are always cheating, start counting after the BIOS loads or after the windows logo appears. With OS X 10.6 and an SSD drive, the mac boots in 8 seconds from the moment you push the power button!!! (and that's with a modest intel core 2 duo at 1.86GHz :)
@AnT508 : just walk in any Apple store, choose a macbookair that has a solid state drive (I think they all do), turn it off. Press the power button and check your watch, you'll see that I am not making this up.
wow man that speed is very good for windows. my pc is very lousy. i have core i7 980x, 12 gb ddr3 2000 mhz ram but my hdd sucks its just an ordinary 7200 rpm 500 gb hdd. seriously these sdd's are way better for performance. i think im gonna go get one...
Parabens SSD OCZ is the best!!! mey note asus g73 start windows seven ultimate 64 bits in 6.8 seconds. windows points... 7.1, 7.4, 7.2, 7.2 and 7.7 for SSD.... yeahhh. congratulations OCZ....
I sold my last Mac a few months ago, and I'm absolutely loving Windows 7. It's really quite amazing, it's got basically all the things I liked about the Mac, except in a useful, robust, beuatiful, responsive package.
Seriously, Windows 7 is totally awesome. Go get it. :)
@IAmSomeoneOrOther I know about sony vegas, actually it can do the same stuff, and yes, I have it :) but final cut pro X is still better considering its UI and tools, both are good but the final cut will offer you more tools.
MAC SUX U MOTHER FUCKERS!!

For Windows, I must say, this is quite fast.
I wonder what a Gentoo or Arch could do with an i7 ^^
psaykat 8 months ago
@psaykat To be honest, It wasn't the i7 doing the work in this video. It was the SSD. A standard hard drive would be a whole lot slower.
SOF006 8 months ago
@psaykat lol..i7 or i9, buy the SSD and you'll get the result.
SkyKing02 8 months ago
@SkyKing02 I know, SSD makes the difference (see my channel). But when I switched from 32-bit to 64-bit (new PC), there was also a huge difference.

how fast is a boot without SSD, for example a Samsung f3 7200rpm
rrgert4 9 months ago
@rrgert4 at least 40 seconds.
SkyKing02 8 months ago
@SkyKing02

Pretty cool, although I prefer knowing the time the PC takes before you can actually use it. (All processes and stuff loaded)
It takes a longer time to load your BIOS for instance, where mine almost immidiatly starts to load windows.
