  • No way...That old??

    It is so cool!

  • when did hoover stop yousing wooden handles for there cleaners?

  • Last Hoover to use a wooden handle was Model 543, discontinued in 1929.

  • kk thanks

  • hi, my 543 makes a high pitched rattling, squealing sound, it worked fine while i was cleaning, and i shut it off to move something and when it started back up it did that. i have not oiled the motor bushings. could this be my problem?

    thanks

  • Please tell me why the Hoovers in the UK look like nice vacuums whereas in the US, Hoover is nothing more than a cheap plastic piece of crap that is sold at Wal-Mart and other discount stores. Do door to door salesmen sale these high quality Hoovers in Britain? From what I have seen of the British Hoovers, they are in the class with our Rainbows, Kirbys, Kent, Royal Comm., Filter Queen, and what used to be Electrolux but is now just Lux.

Why are Hoovers so popular over there?

  • This Hoover is over 80 years old - back then, Britain and the US shared the same models, which were all built to exceptionally high standards.

Modern UK Hoovers are totally different to the US models, but are about the same quality.

  • i wonder how much suction that beast has. it looks like it was pulling the carpet up better than a kirby

  • where do u get all the '20s hoovers?

  • wow that is a priceless machine!

  • could you do a video of the u4014 you have or the red turbo u2194

  • I don't have a U4014 or a U2194, I'm afraid! Both were sold - the U4014 at least 2 years ago! The U2194 was sold a couple of months back. Sorry!
