  • CHRIST! WHAT IF SOMEONE WAS ON THE SIDE OF THE TRACK??!!

  • How many times has this rail grinder became under a different company? haha

  • The train from Hell!

  • I can smell it from here!

  • That train honestly looks like its coming straight out of hell itself!

  • i work for the grinders is that the 7???

  • aaahhh nice and shiny! I wish british rail did this more often, then my tea wouldn't be all over the place after they want 100 x whatever a ticket

  • Have to love the sound of this machine! Like from star trek, but way better

  • I saw a train just like this today and have constantly been trying to chase it down but I don't know ere the heck it is.

  • my dad is the supervisor for one of the HTT grinders, and the rails are not that hot after they are ground since they are sprayed to make sure there are no fires near by. but then again if u want to see a fire the the pandrol jackson was one that would throw some sparks quite a ways.

  • @brownieboy69101

is your father still with Harsco?

  • @bandlracing no. my dad retied last august. He was supervisor for the RG-308 or RG-310 or something like that. He worked the Nebraska, Colorado region and a few other states.

  • Question? What would happen if you went down to the tracks and touched them right after that rail grinder went by?

  • I think grinders cool and clean the rail with water after they pass by, so it would probably not be that hot. Just wet, and very uniform and smooth. Also still slightly warm.

(Not trying to sound gay, I'm not a cubs fan)

  • With Harsco Share Price trading at a measly 21 a share...I recommend you BUY heavily...It is a golden opportunity to accumulate at this low level. Come back in 3 -6 months and see where the share price is at...i bet it will easily be 35 or more...Good luck and Go Harsco!

  • one month later it is 30 a share...i rest my case

  • I worked for PJ then Harsco on the RMS 5 in Canada. The front engine was GP-38 The back was a FPH-40,the modifed bodies where made in Pa, The FPH40 had a generator that was use when we were grinding for our house power, and there was a 6cyl Cat in the front power car which was use for house power when parked in the sidings the power cars had 16 cyl cats to run the 30hp grinder motors, and yes we started fires

  • what the hell kind of engine is that?

  • It is a highly modified F40PH body on a GP38-2 frame

  • @hrrc7324 where was this taken at

  • @Cazkumali The video was taken in Richmond, Mass on CSX's Berkshire sub.

  • @hrrc7324 I assuming thats in the USA

  • @Cazkumali yes in the Northeast portion of the USA

  • wont that make fires

  • They spray down the tracks with water before and after the grinder cars.

  • i work for harsco!!!!

    BEAN3R

  • Looks like something from a sci-fi movie at night! Awesome! 5*****

  • I've seen a loram unit working in the amarillo, tx area...they are awesome

  • I APPLIED FOR HARSCO, NICE ONE!!

  • cool

didn't this one get totaled not too long ago?

  • That train uses some of the most unique looking diesals I've ever seen. Can someone tell me the designation of them. "ex..F40"

  • F40PH eather rebuilds or custom ordered

  • I believe they are F40s on GP38 chassis.

  • there former GP38 rebuilt to a sorta F40 body type

  • Basically they are an F40 with the nose cut off to make a bigger deck for their water cannons.

  • I saw the Loram one by accident once and I've been hooked to them ever since. Great job!

  • being a Harsco Shareholder...I really enjoyed seeing my money at work..Thanks for video
