@steamednotfried Bach wrote BWV1058 for keyboard and BWV1041 for violin. He had the habit of taking a piece and writing different versions of it for different instruments.

I'm just saying, if you have trouble playing the violin, is maybe because you press too much. Don't press down like you're trying to squash something, just press all the way till you get the string to the board. Same thing with the bow, just grab lightly, like you're holding a small animal.
The 31 dislikes are from people who can't stand to hear it because it is so beautiful. Also, they are ignorant and don't understand that this music is heaven compared to the crap people play now.
for making musick of high quallity, you need 3 things: a good instruments, a great player, and a great composer...first 2 serve the last one....That's why Stradivarius violin plus David Oistrach plus Bach, make together a realy piece of haven....I hope I make myself understanded.....(Excuse My english)

I always seemed to me Russian musicians have a special affinity with Bach. Oistrakh and Milstein on the violin, Rostropovich on the cello, the likes of Nikolayeva, Sokolov, Koroliov on the piano. Wonder why that is.

Thank you so much for uploading this wonderful Oistrach clip ... even all these years since his death and I fall in love each time with the warmth and perfection of his playing.
I am learning how to play this piece too.. I only had about a year of playing experiences and so far this piece is very challenging. Would anyone please give me some tips to how to practice for intonation when shifting or anything regarding your experience when learning a difficult piece (if possible concerto in A Minor =P )? Thank you.

Actually, this is one of Bach's easier violin concertos, mostly based on the fact that it's in the easiest of minor keys, and it really doesn't shift all that much. Either way, still a beautiful piece of music.
@savethetrees433 If you're right, it is easy to play for those who know. But someone else has already done something similar? Nobody in this world to come close to the music of Bach. Greetings!!!
@DarkLoveFashion Oh definitely. Bach's music is easily the most brilliant music ever written, and I doubt it could ever be matched. His use of counterpoint is almost magical - nothing can really come close to him.
