Why is the top of the pyramids' stones' lighter than the bottom ones?

They are lighter in weight because they are so much smaller. The top stone is about a 20 inch cube. Some of the coloration appears to change by way of optical illusion (distance/light), but the top stones would likely be a lighter stone indeed. There is a bright white stone south of the region that is a bit like chalk. It would likely be lighter and easier to handle.

If you use what most say the "size" of the stones are and use the "count" the same sources use, the pyramid becomes infinitely larger than it presently is.
