I have a feeling my PS3 has a bit more load when switching from gameplay to cutscene. Because I have no idea why I am 20 sec behind you when I did everything as you did.
@boxbuyer2008 It's actually preferred to skip some save points as Yorda is an idiot & likes to stand, wasting precious seconds. But if you want to, it's okay. Just remember tiem is still running until Yorda sits her moronic ass down.
This is going to sound like a silly question but, does pausing the game also pause the timer count? cos.... im following this walkthrough, and wondering is anytime is being used up lol :L
Wanted people to know that there is actually a book about the game called ICO Castle In The Mist written by Miyuki Miyabe who was given full reign from the ICO team them selves. Though it is her story, she did very well with it. Gives a background to everything that is going on in the game and it has become one of my favorite books to read. If you have enjoyed the game as much as I have then you should enjoy the book. Look it up on amazon if you're interested.
@Rainier1992 nvm i figured it out myself! and i gotta do this one together with the lightsaber one and the watermelon one, still good tho ! having a friend help me :p
That's cruel of Team Ico to make a time limit trophy, I would want to take in the majesty of every moment of this game, it looks gorgeous! Then again, Team Ico themselves made it this beautiful to begin with ;P
also a nightmare. i made the first jump in 5 attempts. the watermill i got a little luckier on and made it in 2 jumps. When i 1st played that area i stuggled, later i went back and tried for a perfect run, i was able to shave 3 min and 20 sec off. so be aware of this area, spend to long on those 2 jumps and u might as well start that segment over
also one last thing, the hardest part of this run through i found to be was after beating the east gate arena and before reaching the gondola save point, not only is it a long stretch of playthough without a save point but there is also the dreaded watermill area. i'm talking of the area where there is a switch you throw to activate a wooden stump in the ground that u then stand on and time ur jump off of as it springs upwards. then outside is the watermill jumping segment.
in regards to the graveyard, the key is running and placing yorda on the switch needed to get through the door, time it right and she will stay on switch 4 u. reasons she may move are due to bad placement of yorda on switch and not getting to switch fast enough and having monsters near her. if the monsters r near her she'll move around and screw ya over
I wanted to post this info. because i have just gotten this trophy using this guide fromn wo0ter, thanks by the way. U may notice that ur save time varies from the video, fear not, i was constantly behind in time when compared to video. however, i would perfect an area b4 moving on to ensure a low time, i got to the last save point with 1:24:30 on the clock and still beat the game with 1:57:07 on the clock. P.S. the graveyard is not as hard as it seems to be with some of the comments ive seen
Pausing the game is fine-Place Yorda where she is thoughout video. If Yorda was in just the slightest of different spots my results would be negative. There r exceptions tho. You'll learn as you play through. Mostly Yordas local is important when shadow monsters and/or switches r involved-Luck is needed sometimes, always perfect an area b4 moving onto next do practice runs if needed-You should have a no less then 33 min availible at ur last save point-Watermill area is toughest cause of jumps
From 7.15... what da I totally missed that part! I didn't know you could leave Yorda alone for that long at that part... sure as hell saves a lot of dragging around and kicking shadows tails xD
That very first part is even an easier and faster way to get down. Once you've pulled that switch simply jump over the fence upstairs drop down and you can get through that opennig. Saves you at least 10 seconds. Same when you see small ladders don't climb them down just jump and tall ladders, press x to do a fast jump. Makes me wonder why in earth I still got around 2.15 haha...
Too bad that without the Super Jump glitch existing in this game, it's impossible to clock under 2 hours. Some people did it without the glitch like sloter002 & muguet0501 speedrun's. I gave up trying to do the glitch and watch the other two video's and hoped to get it under 2 mintues just like them. Just keep jumping, it's much faster.
KikujiroChan speedrun of Ico is 52 minutes, and that glitch looks so helpful.
After the credits I saw the Castle Guide and the the Enlightment trophy. I was like WTF!!! then when I saw my time after saving for the new game plus I saw 1:59:24 LOL!!!
I'm not kidding, it looked impossible, I thought I wasn't going to make it. But if I had that Super Jump glitch, I would've gotten a much faster time.
@HyperSonicXtreme haha nice! I'm in the process of making Part 2, but I'm not sure if I'd clock in under 2 hours at the rate I'm going.... just got to the East Coliseum at 34:30ish
Thank you ^ ^

does pausing the game also pause the timer ?
grolshiwolshi 2 months ago
@grolshiwolshi No, they don't. Pausing the game effectively stops the timer.
Time for me to have a crack at this. It's the last trophy keeping me from having the Platinum. Then I can have both on the collection. :D

@PwninKonan Team ICO didnt make the trophies, its bluepoint games that made them.

Ah I see, still, kind of degrading to the game, it's such a work of art, rushing through it to get a trophy is peculiar.

What about Shadow of The Colossus? I don't think co-op would be in that game e.e But if there were, it'd be beast!
