I don't like this ad, 'cept that part where stuff explodes, it's really surreal. I love how bad the animals in the sahara look. The lighting effects are that of Mario 64 and you can see texture stretching easy. Cut out the beginning and the end, and it's gold.
An ad needs to appeal, Sony. Using over-complicated direction and blowing the budget on explosives when you've already got it hard proves and shows virutally nothing to the viewer, let alone a potential consumer.
Now if this was on TV, who would sit there and watch it, and who would change the channel?
Maybe they thought if it can work for a plasma TV, why not a PS3 How comes those bravia TV ads bring colour to life by showing paint explode out a building? It looked amazing on my 28 inch oldy worldy TV so I think I'll keep it :-)
