and that bit at the end about the ridges there to add friction... false. The way to increase friction is to have greater surface areas touching, so a flat side would increase friction (kinda like how race car tires are completely flat-no treads)

I think they are just there for style, cuz if you grind off the ridges (or tape the sides) a puck actually handles better
