Commission could have avoided financial ruin, heartache and worry for some British citizens. Standing up to HMG, demanding a return from the Icelandic government or taking on a loan could have avoided this and left the Isle of Man's financial reputation intact.
Please....for anyone who feels ANY sense of outrage about this gross negligence by our government, write to MP's - any or ALL of them - voicing your disapproval. We need your help in raising awareness of the struggle of thousands of UK citizens, deprived of their savings by the callous actions of Brown and Darling.
The Isle of Man claims to be a major global financial centre, but when its regulatory body makes a mistake which results in thousands losing their savings, the government whines that the Island is too small to do anything.
Pressure should be maintained until the Manx government makes amends.
The Isle of Man should change their slogan to "Freedom for Thieves". Don't bank on The Isle of man because because if a foreign government steals your savings they'll do nothing.

An excellent poignant delivery of the TRUE FACTS. None can be disputed, this is what has happened since Messrs Darling & Brown brought down the Icelandic banking system. In so doing they left 10,000+ innocent people totally stuffed and hung them out to dry. Since that fateful day in October 2008 these dispossessed people have fought to have returned what is rightfully theirs. No-one has reponded to their pleas for help, apparently no-one gives a DAMN. Try walking in OUR SHOES to see how it feels

As it says - there is no option if you don't have a UK address (despite the fact that you may have lived, worked and paid your taxes in the UK for donkeys' years!) Tough on the decent people of the IOM, but it is scandalous that so many people have lost their life savings. DON'T BANK ON THE ISLE OF MAN!
Basket Case is not referring to anybody other than me! I think my remarks have been misunderstood. I love the video and the sad music wrenches my guts as my family has lost nearly everything. I know of the hardship that this whole sorry affair has caused and I wish nobody to be upset by my comments. I hope we will get our money back, I live in hopes.

People have been so doen at Heel they have thought of Suicide as they have been left Destitute and penniless HOMELESS after a life of Hard work.. its call Empathy eveer heard of it?/
Listening to the sad music to this very good video makes me think of a funeral march. The video highlights the plight of all the depositors and the agony they have gone through since October 2008. But we are a feisty bunch and God willing will win this battle putting both governments to shame. Perhaps the next music to a video will be a rousing 'We will Overcome'! So think carefully before banking on the Isle of Man
Yes ALL TRUE facts displayed and cannot be denied. YET No one with the authority to DO ANYTHING is DOING ANYTHING> They probably hope we will all die before they have to pay out anything --- or we will go away tired of the fight!!

Spot on. What amazes me more than anything is that even with all these facts, all of the characters who lost the money, both in the UK and IoM are still in their jobs while decent people suffer. Think the UK and IoM are run by moral, upright people? I believe they are more like the Mafia but without the dress sense.

The IOM Government does nothing to ensure that ALL depositors receive 100% of their deposits back - why is this?
Their FSC arranged the transfer of £550 million of their KSFIOM's assets over to the UK with no written protection so why are they not being publically held account?
Don't Bank on the Isle of Man if you want to see your money again!
