Yeah, and I don't know why it occurs. For most of my vids I can just let it go. But on some, like my '64 WNBC IRT train, the stretch is no good. It made the train car body look to be about 8' tall and something like 15' wide. I had to render that about 400x352 (squished tall) to counter the stretch effect..
Thanks a million (hits) for uploading this content (and allowing embedding;). Your stuff is probably some of the best and rarest out there. We really appreciate your efforts.
Thank you. I also recently recorded over 1 million video views, so funny you mentioned that in that way.. More on the way. I have more mid 80s NBC breaks coming. Also another original- which is almost complete, but being held up by an interface problem between my synthesizer and PC for sound track..
Its too bad though that YT (since 12/08 changes) stretches my 4:3 ratio vids into this wide format unless I render them horizontally -narrower- than normal.
My 4:3 images? Yes. They stretch them -into- 16:9. This wide screen, I believe is to allow HD-formatted vids. All my new 4:3 vids are stretched, unless I applied countermeasures on a few. Many of my old vids, not stretched, have suffered badly in quality after this format change of 12/08.
Good job on this!

so, this clip was a 4:3 clip? Wow, they really did! My uploaded 4:3 stuff is still 4:3. Weird. I kind of wish they would stretch it! ;0

Yeah, that kind of synchro stuff happens to me all the time. ;)
Btw, what app are you using for the graphics?
cinematedman 2 years ago
About 120 miles driving to pick up some of my old equip., and problem overcome- (for these purposes anyway... [See '9 All Night])
Apps.? As I mentioned on other related pages of mine- Old 90's MetaCreations Software; sold-off in the late '90s; discontinued and gone in 2001.

Thanks TT, I get the pun too..) I was going to use the 'chime' on it but don't recall if I even have one..
When I get my synthesizer back I could probably make one on that.. And might attempt some WOR sfx too..

Are they stretching the actual image in 16:9?

Mmm, yummy. Although I find it weird that a green feather is in place of a purple one.

Yup, definately not an actual NBC clip...
