@mechredd no new weapons or weapon parts are in the DLC although my DLC achievements are fucking glitched and i've already got the new masks killed that Asain girl thats the traitor after i let her lift as my first choice and it's not giving me any of the other achievements for some stupid fucking fucked up reason, wish i knew why

to those of you hateing on DLC, it is a great concept because some games, like this one, and assassins creed, leave you wanting more when you finish them.

in the case of this game, im guessing the decision you make at the very end of 40th day doesnt effect the DLC, but technically it should :p

Lol man the reason they leave you wanting more is because those games are way too short. I rented both AO2 and AC2 and beat them both in a week. I actually beat AO2 3 times in the week lol

obviously you have no idea what it takes to make a computer game, you think because it took a week to finish it also takes a week to make. if you wanted them to delay to put the DLC in on release then you'd still pay the extra $4 just a few months sooner, and you wouldn't have the choice of saveing that $4, but yeh go ahead and complain :)

Including the extra level WOULD increase the initial cost and time to releases it so it is you that likes waiting and spending more, My position is one of choice. I havent played AO2(original), i've only played 40th day, but as you mentioned you replayed it 3 times, that replayability is part of the initial games design. and tbh AC2 felt well paced to me, and i've enjoyed playing it through again to find all the feathers, barcodes etc.

Why would it increase the initial cost to make the game 7 hours long instead of 6 when there are games like Mass Effect 2 which cost the same amount and are like 50 hours long. If they didnt rush the realease they could actually have a game that would last longer than a few hours and would actually be worth buying instead of renting

correct me if im wrong, but isn't mass effect 2 filled with puzzles and long conversations with NPC's? things like that slow down playthrough speed considerably, in the case of both AO2 and AC2 the action is constantly fast paced, rarely split by cut scenes. this makes for a much faster play through even though they have roughly the same amount of content. you are clearly not understanding the economics of creating a game if you think adding an extra hours game play is free for the developers.

I'm sorry but as clever of a market strategy as it is, it's still a low blow. Develop and distributing companies wont make money if they continue a half assed game and expect users to buy smaller bits in order to complete the experience. Contrary to what Activision's CEO proclaimed; it stains the industry.

no one forces you to buy them(dlc), and the games are fully complete without them. in the case of 40th day its meant to be about replayability with a friend. i've played it through several times and had tremendous fun each time.

if you wanted the DLC to be packaged in the original game, it would both delay the release and increase the cost.

Thx man,that would be hard though,since no civilians can get killed and that is really hard at one point before the hospital (I think) you have to kill 2 guys on your own and they are pretty wide apart and you have to kill them alone since there is a locked door between your buddy and the hostages

At the beginning of the hospital level i think.If you havnt kill anybody and have saved every hostage till that part that doctor guy unlocks a door for you.its right before you step jump 4 the first time in the lvl at the very beginning if i remember correctly.
