He couldn't have stayed with Kirara because of this, and Kirara wouldn't have wanted this either (for him to be held back from what he aspired to be from the start). Besides, Kirara is smiling by the end.
You know in the movie that this was based off of katsu and the girl from the village ( presumably kirara) do end up together :) so just know that the real story they end up together
@flutefairy112 Actually that girl isn't Kirara, is Shino (she also appears in the anime, is the girl with the boyish hair and Manzo's daughter) and they don't end together, but they made love XD. Kirara is a character created by the anime.

Like the video and the song, but feel really bad for the two lovers. Love is really complicated. Kirara liked Kambei, but didn't really lked katsu. Katsu liked Kirara. Then towards the end he rejects her. mmmmmm......really complicated. Oh that's life for you.

Dude, she deserved to be rejected like that. Which normal girl tries to propose someone way older than her? moreover, she'll always be at Kambei's side, even when he's wrong. Katsushiro is a man of honor that deserves a better girl than Kirara.

So this animated character named Kirara is wrong for not choosing someone that she doesn't love? Not all girls have the same taste and the boy was pushing his luck from the start. If one loves the other and the other doesn't love back then who's wrong? Everyone has the right to choose what they want. Kambei made that clear by rejecting the girl. Was he wrong for not loving her back?
i loved how you used the kissing scene at the end. i always wanted to see something like the most romantic picture for the credits instead of just blank or some oter random pic. also what eps is that?
well you did a nice job but if you havent watch youll get surprised by the end of the serie that would make you angry as me cause i love so much that couple, kirara is cute and katsu is super handsome.

Actually, Kirara loves Kambei-dono, but thought she loved Katsushiro-dono. Unfortunately....they both turn her down in the end.
