Uh, a drill bit actually looks like a corkscrew. First you make a small hole with a small drill bit, then you put on the large drill bit and screw it in with your own power (do not turn the drill on). After the large drill bit is in, use the huge handle of the drill to pull the cork out.

But they're not engineering students, so they're excused.

what u will need; 2 long screws, a screww driver, and a hammer.

screw the srews in at a angle oposite from eachother til they make a "X" with eachother. screw them in deep but not too deep. use the claw on the hammer to grab the screws makin sure both screws r in the grasp of the hammer. Hold the bottlereal tight, the pull. pull muthafucka pull!!! HARDER!!!! almost, almost, allllmost.....SHAZAM!!! ur welcome....yeah..

look, at least you're thinking... anyone in this situation again though, one better idea is using a wood screw half way (drill one out of the desk to use temporarily if you have to), pulling the wood screw straight out with anything, a hanger, plyers, whatever is handy, works like a charm. And you don't 'cork' your wine;)
