I have a question, Hippowdon Elite 4 card has a poke body that says it reduces 10 damage done to him if he has any fighting energy card attached to it, you need 3 colorless energies to use it. If I have 3 fighting energies attached to him and use his poke power, would an attack done to hippowdon be reduced by 30 since it has 3 fighting energies??????? PLEASE REPLY BACK.. ANYONE!!!!!!!!!

you dont need any energy to use poke-power or poke-body, its like an extra move that you can use anytime you want and CAN still attack after you used it. Also yea if you have 3 fighting energy attached to Hippowdon, it will reduce 30 dmg.

@anikiker, I actually am not trading right now. But also don't sell yourself short. Red Gyrados IS rare, but not enough for all those cards. Maybe the 2 Primes and 1 Holo sounds like a good trade to me =P

Flygon is awesome but I think Vibrava can be a lot more useful because it won't take too long until you can do 100+ damage with it.

But that, of course, depends on your deck and strategy.

But I still love Flygon. It has sweet moves and a very handy PokeBody. And it's just a beautiful card.

My favourite Gen.3 Pokemon.

@kekspudding Vibrava can only hit that ONCE in several turns whereas Flygon can hit for 110 damage every turn, and that´s not counting possible Expert Belts, PlusPowers, Weaknesses and such.

If you attack with Vibrava in a Flygon deck you´re either desperate or very creative, even though the attack can save you if your Flygon has been Knocked Out and you haven´t managed to get a replacement.

@Ultrawixon Of course, when you manage to fill your bench with evolved Pokemon, Flygon is your best friend.

But I think it's easier to make your opponent discard energies by whatever.

And if you manage to defeat a Pokemon, then you can probably do that move again.

But you're right, Flygon can do that more often.

That's why I wouldn't call Vibrava the better card. It's just that it can be handy against a powerful Lv.X if you have already defeated 2 or 3 of your opponent's Pokemon. ;)

@kekspudding With today´s metagame you´re lucky to have enough Energy in there, especially when they are recovered with Night Maintenances and Palmer´s Contributions.

Vibrava is on top as an emergency solution where it can surprise KO, but it´s very difficult to make a planned attack with it, especially against decks like Gyarados which use either very little or no energy at all.

I'd never hold Flygon back to wait for being able to attack with Vibrava.

I'd only attack with Vibrava if I already had the possibility to KO a Pokemon, especially because most of the Pokemon which Vibrava is really useful against, could defeat it with one attack.

Like I said, it CAN be useful. ;)
