hey, what's your average poundage per year of pines that you go through, whether you picked yourself, or bought from pickers? I picked and bought chanterelles to sell in Victoria a couple years ago, and it went ok, but you're right - you have to be really organized, and have the sales chain in place, or there's a lot of wastage. are you based in Crofton? and how many folks work for you now?
@untamedfeast Haha! yeah, sorry! I'm a personal picker now (never planning to do it for $ again! too much work, too much waste) who gives excess to family and friends. It's too bad that trip didn't work out for you. I've been on a couple trips like that this season, far less expensive though.
