You are way behind the times. She has had braces and no longer needs them. In the UK children have braces, if needed, fitted free of charge. When the time is right a fully qualified professional dentist fits them and when doing so pays no heed to the advice purveyed by unqualified idiots on You Tube. Such as yourself for instance. Watch some of her later videos and see for yourself. She has perfect teeth.

She is now 14. her dresses are made for her by a dress designer in Newcastle who has in mind Faryl's age. As for the accompanying violinists and gospel singers, compared with the two choirs and 60 piece orchestra on her album this is small beer. As a highly respected professional artist invited to appear as a guest, she is fully entitled to this kind of treatment. Her age has nothing to do with it. Her status has.

I know the original soundtrack was being played, but whenever she has sung using the backing track she has always had a pianist and string players in the studio with her. These augment the backing track and are not just for decoration. These instrumentalists and the gospel singers are performing live as is Faryl. She is now a professional artist and not a 12 year old auditionee and the way the show presented her reflects that. Her dress and the set are not over the top by any means.

As her dress and the set attracted adverse comment from thesilverbadgers et al, i tagged a comment onto the end of my post. They seem to think that she should have appeared dressed as a 12 year old, she is now 14, and to have stood on an empty stage as at her audition. I quote, "I think they should have just kept her the way she was".

She only came fourth in the Final - a travesty. Universal Records thought so too - they signed her up for £2.3m :) She is now a global star, but a sensible one. School is a focus and Tours are selective. She released an album mid 2009. Fantastic singer destined to be the best this Century.

She has sung in concerts up and down the country with Katherine Jenkins, Jonathan Ansell and duetted with Carreras. She has released a hit album and a second album "Wonderland" is due out on 30 Nov. She has also done some charity concerts too. She is in great demand but has to juggle her music career with her school work. I have seen a video of a track from her new album " Somewhere Far Away", which as yet is not widely available. She looks and sounds fantastic.
