  • The music is calm...the monsters are not :P

  • This track is the perfect example of Hitoshi Sakimoto's style, a strange mix of soft whimsical music and the kind of music you hear in horror movies.

  • the mood is so mixed i can't pinpoint how this makes me feel but i love this track, this place, and it's perfect to EXP grind

  • Very emotional, yet it covers mystery of danger. Epic OST indeed!

  • First time I went there, I was so scared of getting my ass beat. It kinda gave me the creeps. Beautiful, incredibly beautiful.

  • @ninjaassassin27 Yeah, I didn't go in the first time I saw this place either, because of that hord of invisible baknamy would probably kill me under level 35

  • @julex234 The reapers are worse, because i've had them follow me out of nabudis into the salikawood before... scared the crap outta me, lost two party members o_o

  • @julex234 the dudes there are 55... go into the nechorol and there's about 2-3-5 foes a fight, and they're everywhere.

I used to be an adventurer like you, then I bought scathe from a ghetto merchant that hides behind a corner...

  • I know ff12 has ties with FFT, but this particular song REALLY sounds like an FFT track.

  • One my favorite themes in all of Final Fantasy... its hum worthy.

  • this place was wickedly foggy and evil

  • Ah.. The Nabreus Deadlands.. I spent countless hours leveling up my party there..

  • @milez15 Yeah, same here. Those Skeletons are quite handy to get a lot of level-ups and bone items for sell.

  • @necroheartplucker Hey dont forget the race of nu-mous (if i dont wrong), they appear randomly in that strange country.

  • one of the best tunes to hear when you take the time to read look through the Espers' stories. A soft but ominous melody :D

  • I remember running for my life through the deadlands all in an attempt to get the Zodiac spear. Despite constant danger and incorrect directions I made it back and out of there but I was battered and bruised from the onslaught I had faced.

Then I late found out that an alternate path in the Salikawood takes you into the back entrance of the Necrohol :(

  • @Standuble There are some who would say running through the Necrohol is even more suicidal than running through the deadlands.

I am one of those people.

Also, the Zodiac spear allows you to do 9999 damage standardly before even completing Giruvegan; it's broken as hell.

...which is why I love it.

  • @benkai343434 I would be inclined to agree, but having a map from Salikawood entrance to the spear and setting ATB gauges for characters and enemies to slowest would buy you time to get in and out without blowing 30+ phoenix downs!

I also love the Zodiac Spear, though the Tournesol was my personal favourite. It was well worth the effort put into its construction.

  • @Standuble I too have a preference of the Tournesol over the Zodiac Spear. The evasion bonus is pretty nice too, and the blade looks awesome as well.

  • This is one of my personal favorite tracks for FFXII. It gives off so many emotions at once. Amazing<3
