unlike European reviewers who are quite biased towards the Alfa's passion and soul, I'm talking about you, Jeremy Clarkson, American reviewers look at the Alfa the same way that they look at a BMW,
Holy shit! I was literally in tears at 4:11 John says; "An odd item or two might have to be left behind." The guy just throws the bag in the weeds and slams the trunk like "fuck this!" and walks away. Then the camera just switches angles. That chain of events was priceless!
Still have my Milano I bought new in 1988. I don't think I could ever get rid of it- all you have to do is get behind the wheel & open it up...poetry!!
@Carlito1988 (i know this comment was posted 3 years ago, so hope you can reference this reply) wow, from brand new to now (or at least up to your comment was made!) still have your milano? I am an alfa fan through and through. As a kid I dreamt of owning a GTV6, something about the aggressive (very italian) shape of that car. How was the reliability of your Milano throughout the years? Was it as nightmarish as people (like Top Gear UK) always convey today? How was/is the maintenance?
@Carlito1988 Was maintenance religiously kept on your machine? (service done at alfa romeo dealership when they existed, and italian car specialists after they left US shores, or just a dedicated mech or diy?) I hope the upcoming 2014 Alfa Guilia planned to spearhead Alfa back to the US has that magical Alfa look and spirit translated into the 21st century. I do like the 159.
Thx for post this video.
It has its thing, not pretty by universal standard but a nice design anyways, much better than a 80's Giuletta... The car has a personality of its own really, quirky looks, quirky ergonomics, wonderful engines, performance, and a soundtrack that'll make your blood boil!!
@coreydl2008 The horsecollar brake lever looks like the one on a 1969 to 1971 Ford LTD coupe and the Chevrolet cars from the late 1960's early 1970's.

Wow. So much body-roll. Some guys on Alfabb talked about it, but I didn't know it was that bad until now. Still one of my all-time favorite cars.

Yeah those italians can make good looking cars, but they always do strange things when it comes to practicality. :p

Most of all, I think that the poster of this video diserves the greatest compliments for bringing this video. Recorderded in 1988, precious moments.

Yes! My cousin had a twin Spark 4 cylinder, while I had a 2.5 V6 here! What is a Ford Laser, btw?

Ford Laser is Australian, it is looking like a Mazda 323 (Protege) with some face lifting.
