  • Wait, why didn't you put the crabs and the fish in the same container?

  • If you acclimate your fish for too long you will kill it because the temp. is changing when you let it sit on the floor and then the temp acclumating was pointless

  • Do they require an oxygen while acclimating

  • Oooooo wait till mom sees that mess :p

  • so u got them adjusted to the temp in your tank but isnt the temp from outside goin to effect your drip

  • why are you wearing those gay rings and that gay chain fuckin wristband ur not a badass.. ur just a nerd

  • @1RonixWake How does wearing a ring and wristband that YOU think is gay, gay in the first place? Who says he is trying to be a badass? He is showing us how to accimlate fish you dumass peice of shit, get a dam life, get of youtube before we all burn you and your family alive fucker. Thanks for the video by the way!

  • @1RonixWake well if he's a nerd, then he's an awesome nerd :P

  • Good video! Is there anyway to not put the store water in the tank, in order to prevent parasites. If you dont mind, what is the start-up cost and cost to maintain of this aquarium.

  • just pour them in r they suposed to live in a bucket ure creating more work why add water from the tank to the bucket if ure going to poor it back anyway

  • First of all they are only temporarily in the bucket so that they can slowly adjust to the water chemistry. The water is supposed to drip into the bucket for this reason. Secondly, the water that is dripped into the bucket is NOT to be poured back into the tank. This water will be mixed with water from the store since you poured the bag contents into it, and this water must not enter the tank. If you consider this a lot of work, you must be very apathetic, because acclimation is very important.

  • @13murad dumbass

  • @rediwsCp yo im just kiddding i love ur videos and what i said about u acclimating the salt water fish like tht and went over what i wrote i felt dumb and said why did i say tht sorry i do know that ur supposed to add water from tank but my true question was cant u just put water from tank to the bag thts floating does this method work for salt water becuase im only good with freshwater

  • @13murad asshole

  • @ nickturk30, I have a, what I consider, small 33g tank and costs me over $600 so if you start to really get into it then it's going to get expensive.

  • Are they really hermit crabs or mollusks?

Doesn't hermit crab need a terrestrial habitat?

  • great video!!! i have a question if i already have the 10 gallon tank how much would it approx. cost for the rest of the stuff that u got like how much did u pay for all that

  • Hey there nickturk30, I paid way more than the average person does with their tank. To this date, (my latest update on this tank will show you what it looks like today), I have spent around $500-$600. However the average person does not spend anywhere near this amount for this size tank. I only did due to a lot of equipment replacements and trial and error. The average person will spend $100-$200 on a nice 10 gallon set up. The saltwater hobby can definitely get expensive!

  • alright thanks cause i have a ten gallon fresh water aquarium with a dragon fish and a gold fish i did have 2 albino red tailed sharks but they died. but pretty much at my pet store they have literally no fish that they recommend putting in the tank with my dragon fish. i have a 29 gallon tank too with an oscar in it and i can't put her in there. alright i have one more question if i convert it to salt water will the dragon fish be able to live in the salt water?

  • @nickturk30 dont get a small tank if its your first... its harder to maintain. get a 55 gal or bigger. its more forgiving

  • hey i just started a 45 gallon saltwater tank and i used up all my xmas money so i have 2 clownfish 1 damselfish in there and i dont really know much abotu saltwater i know alot about freshwater but not salt do you have any tips?? abotu like placement im thinking abotu moving the tank but idrk

  • I would do that while having the containers in the main tank.

Else you'd lose the whole purpose of temperature acclimatisation at the beginning.

  • this video was made on my birth day :) im also thinking of turning my 29 gal fresh water into a salt water tank

  • your smart you let the chemicals get mixed its a good idea so its not so rough i would of never thought of that thank you its very useful

  • can you do a vid on how to acclimate freshwater fish

  • how long should i acclimate a yellow tank

  • I don't have an exact answer for you. You have to use your instincts and try to tell whether or not your fish is used to the tank water conditions.

  • I did mine for about 8 hours at 1 dip ever sec.

  • were do you get the valve thing?

  • You get get miniature ball valves at any aquarium store.

  • oh ok thanks

  • 20 minutes is long enough to float the bags to adjust the temperature after an hour the oxygen will be very low in those bags.

  • On both parts of that statement you are wrong. 20 minutes is long enough for the bag's water to be the same as the tank's, but that doesn't mean that your fish has adjusted to the new temperature. The whole purpose of the acclimation process is to allow the fish to get used to the new tank conditions. You therefore want to take your time and be patient. Rushing the fish into the tank is not going to ease it's stress. Continue below.

  • Also, every fish is able to live in it's bag without it being open for more than 24 hours. How do you think fish live when they are shipped on an airplane in a cardboard box? The fish is not breathing straight from the surface, it's breathing the oxygen that is dissolved in the water. These fish will last a long period of time in their bags.

  • I have always been told that you should keep them in there no more than an hour. And i know floating the bag to adjust the tmeperature doesnt acclimate the water parameters. I float the bags for 20 minutes in the tank and then i open the bags leaving them floating in the bags and slowly add water from the tank to the bag over an hour or so. once the bag is open air can reach the waters surface.

  • Well you can do it however you want. I have been doing it this way for 2 years and have not lost a fish once from the process.

  • the mad scientist. i think i would just put it in there. ive bought lots of fish over the years and always put them right in. dont remember losing any. i would make sure the conditions of water were right for that fish. never had salt water so...? i think its mostly hype like micheal jackson mania.

  • This tank does not have a protein skimmer. Since it is a nano aquarium, there are not a lot of fish inside the tank that are creating organic compounds. So for a small tank like this, protein skimmers are not necessary. But to make up for this, regular partial water changes are much more necessary.

  • Good job [: Haha what a cutie!

  • When are you going to make a new update? i wanna see how your fish are doing.

  • An update of the saltwater or freshwater aquariums?

  • thats the first time u ever showed ur face hahaha

  • we finally see what you look like lol cool guide

  • Ha ha! Thats funny!

  • 5 stars
