Is there any way to silence the beeping sound? If you have an intruder in your home at night the beeping could give away the fact that you are awake and going for a weapon. I have small children so leaving the key in the lock is not a viable option for me.
I have had two of these safes that would not open and had to be replaced and one of the replacements didn;t work. In my opion these things are junk and should not be trusted to open in an emergency. One of my safes if hit in the right spot just pops open;
To reset the combo, there is a little black button inside on the locking mechanism. Push that and then enter the code you want it will beep a couple times, and it is set. The problem with these safes is they only last a few months to a year. I have been through 4 of them in 1 year, and the 4th one just died as well. The first one lasted 6 months, 2nd 2 months, 3rd 1 month, and the last one, 3 months. I have concluded that these safes are too unreliable to stake my family's lives on.
@ariepelta YT won't let me post links in the comments, so I'll try to send you a PM. Click the first link for the manual. Let me know if the instructions seem a bit confusing, the original paperwork I have goes into a little more detail.
You have not had issues with this safe door popping open if you give it a good tap? I have seen some other brands that will open if you give the door a little smack. Thanks for the vid.
@gruelin1 Thanks. I'm looking for something like this for travel, but I can't find one that has both the combination lock and key override. Usually they have either/or.
