@oz5275 : They hogged the main verses because they WROTE the main verses. Mutya and Keisha had been writing songs together since school. Generally, whoever wrote the verse sang the verse. Thats why their songs

are crap now and why they have been dropped in the US and likely to be in UK soon. Heidi aint no songwriter. The main songwriting partnership hasnt been there since 2005.

And I think the original line-up should start again but NOT with the same name because I know many people who think because of the name 'Sugababes' that they are a typical girlsband (like the babes now..) and not the genious singers & songwriters as they were before. I was given the 'Taller In More Ways' album and this was the song that turned me into a Sugababes fan to such an extent that I had to pick up the rest of their back catalogue as well. Such a fantastic song and like everyone else have no idea why it wasn't released to be enjoyed by the rest of the general public. I've only heard it sung once live at one of their concerts too and that was at the Royal Albert Hall last year. Sounded great live as well!

This song is very clever, because there are extended verses and Keisha's verse is different structurally (as usual) and the chorus is hinted after 1.20 or so but the actual chorus is not actually sung until 2 and half minutes into the song. It is extraordinary songwriting. Sorry folks, but you wont get musically clever writing like this now cos it takes Mutya and Keisha to produce genius like this.

@robbedontuesday: They always said they got help with the writing, maybe more with melody rather than the lyrics. Have an interview on video with Mutya where she says usually whoever is singing the verse generally wrote that verse and Cameron McVey would throw in some lines. Laughing she says 'his lyrics were worse than ours !'

@robbedontuesday: I think thats why their songs were so different to everyone else's. Keisha's verse would often be totally different to Mutya's, both lyrically and melody wise. (Run for Cover, Round Round, In the Middle, good examples of this)

i think they chose amelle becuz her vocal tone is similiar to mutya's but Mutya is deffinately a more versatile vocal range, and amelle is more... um... american, if you know what i mean, like her vocals in "about you now" are so kelly clarkeson-esque. i think with her voice they couldn't sing songs like 'virgin sexy' and even softer ones like 'breathe easy' (which i think is undoubtably one of their best vocal performances ever)
