I just love it! People think the phrase "no copyright infringement intended" will save them and there is no reference to the company who produced it. If the company wanted to sue the uploader, he or she would not have a chance in court. So LISTEN UP PEOPLE...putting that phrase in the description makes thinks worse. It shows you know someone else is the owner of the media and you posted it anyway. Hello?
my dad was in italy watching this be shot when he was with the mountain company in america he said the woman was like one foot off the ground and when she fell he thought wow, that was a horrible way to open a movie lol still last night i saw this at my aunts house and when she was falling i was like oh my goodness i dont feel well anymore i just recovered this morning lol
My only complaint was that the chick falling in the opening scene would never, ever happen with climbing safety regulations and was totally unrealistic. Otherwise, great movie. John Lithgow was an awesome villain and this video should've included the scene where Stallone shoots the guy from under the ice, totally badass.
What I don't get is that she was initially holding the rope/cable 0:23, so wtf? When that security thing -i don't know its name- just broke, theoretically she was still holding the rope/cable... So how come she fell?
Those cliffs look awesome, btw. Was this filmed in the Dolomites?
@meYry12thofMay87 the harnesses that are available to buy, "i doubt it if they made Gabe or Stallone let her use a harness he made" are all tested tested a can stand about 4000lb at least, is that enough? no worry's, normal climbing scenario r not the prob ; if she were to take a 200 foot drop right on that harness with a static rope, she would be fine, "cable" thing she way using is a PAS sling & starts to brake @ 4500lbs, no worry's the strength its being places/secured properly hope thishelps
Why was this movie great? NO CGI! Just great filming, great stunts and actors. Love this movie! Early 90's, when the last of anything was practically done in movies and popular music.
I dunno if anyone has noticed but @ 1:19 when the girl falls, her jumper turns from purple in one scene and then to grey in the next and then back to purple after that. Its pretty funny
You ovbviusly havent seen the movie. They are not in the himalayas, they are in the Rocky Mountians area in USA. The reason Stallone only wears a t-shirt at some time is rationally explained in the movie.
Nice Video. Can someone please confirm this, the Red Rescue Helicopter used in this movie was more or less a Bell U-H1 Huey, correct? I mean, it's the same model of a huey but just modified for mountain rescue?
I wish I had me one of them red rescue helicopters! It's a beauty. Looks just like a huey UH-! only painted a different color. Well, people still use Hueys and modern versions like UH-1D I tik for multiple tasks, logging especiallly I think.
Great movie, allmost after 15 years from coming-out!
Only a few people know, that the most of the mountain-scenes are produced in the dolomits around Cortina d'Ampezzo (Italy). I'm every year in the mountains around Cortina for climbing, and they're in my mind one of the most spectacular mountains in the world !!!
I would never ever do that!
