@DinanaSN He's referring to the bass guitar Mark is playing around the 7:00 minute mark. it's the same bass that he plays back in the catherdral days (1990 and such)
@DinanaSN Yes, he's talking about Mark's bass guitar being the same one he plays in the Catherdral videos. I saw him with it in a 1990 video of climbing higher and higher.
Eric does his Dad (Ernie Phillips) proud, all the way, I think. Hope he will continue to sing when he can, for the glory of the Lord. I will miss him singing with "Mr. Smooth, (Mark Trammel), they were a good fit. God Bless these Gospel singers, it's a shame to lose the older generation, it is a special kind of music that seems to be fading away.
Couldnt help but comment on the tenor right at the end! man, he can sing. sounds just like the kingsmen tenor, i forget his name, with the sandy colored hair
@PoMilostiEvo The tenor on the end is Eric Philips - the son of Kingsmen tenor Ernie Philips. And the tenor for the Old Paths (at around 2:00) is Jeremy Peace who was also a K'Men tenor!
ol ernie phillips son did his dad and big jim proud with his glory road ending. i heard today he was going back to working for a living and leaving the trio.
I was there that night. It was a great concert. I love the Old Paths singing the Kingsmen stuff. My group Emmaus road quartet sang there the sunday morning after this.
I had heard a while back they were going to plan one...and I had no idea they were going to do one in marietta..I am so upset I missed it. I loved Jim and still do. Does any one know if there is going to be any more?
Does anybody else find it awesome that Mark still has the same bass he had when he was with the Cathedrals?

I did not know until watching these clips that big jim had passed. Heaven is a lot richer and earth has lost a good singer and front man

Yes, Eric Phillips is leaving the Mark Trammell Trio, but he was already working for a living. I sure will miss him.
