Maybe just pinpoint before digging...but in the case of 2 or more objects in a hole...it isnt so straightforward. Forget the pinpointer tool...its way to many steps.
Love the Metal detector....but do yourself a favor and get a sun ray probe or a garret. Those KellyCo detectors are horrible. I own one and it took me all of two hunts to order a sun ray.....never been more satisfied now.

The strange round what's it with the 4 legs is the burner top from a small backpacking or camping stove. It spreads the flame. Keep digging, John (43 yrs coinshooting).
