  • damn, some judges LOVE to hear themselves talk.

  • In the last few minutes he stuffs a Judeo-Christian moral in. Through unwieldiness, it embarasses the religious and secular alike.

  • There's a dick on the wall at 0:40

  • This judge put the whole state of wherever they are to sleep.

  • Those actresses waists were so tiny my good ness!

Sending the baby to the Ward of the court is not better

  • Pfft, it's not the parents' fault you stupid Judge - it's that damn electric kitchen!! Why if those girls' kitchens weren't so fast and efficient, they'd be stuck at home - making meals, washing dishes, etc..they wouldn't have had the time to be out and about raping men and destroying classrooms!

  • This is all the electric kitchen's fault!

  • This wasn't actually a bad movie. Not really, I've seen way way worse and compared to other MST3K fodder this movie is actually kind of good. At least it has a coherent plot, clear point of view and interesting characters.

  • Someone needs to punch that judge in the windpipe. NOW!

  • this was a great MST episode!

  • "I sentence you to my Toastmasters meeting."

  • I just noticed that Gypsy was singing Tom's theme song when she was waiting for Mike and Crow to do something! Hilarious!

  • This was the feel-good movie of 1956!

  • god this judge droneeeeeeeeeeees on

  • Wow, with a warning like that, the 60's couldn't fail to happen.

  • Why are the parents in front of the judge after losing their wayward daughter?

  • @christimacc I think it is a callback to the sentencing. That speech was just split into 2 scenes.

  • I am literally smashing my head against a wall trying to drone out that fucking judge.

  • Is Eliza F Reed out there watching this somewhere? I would think that when she saw herself on this episode, it made her all...uh, squishy. ("Is that dirty?" "It depends on which shorts you've seen...")

  • I love the final scene. The re-enactment of the holdup at the gas station is hilarious.

    "Oh, something's goin' on!"

  • This movie could have used some random ranting from Bela Lugosi

  • Thankfully MST3K makes old movies new and bad movies good.

  • OMG what a horrible movie, arghgh

  • "If the old-fashioned woodshed would see more use, vandalism would decline."

In other words, just beat the shit out of your kids and they won't write "poop" on bathroom walls.

  • @DontcallmeFrenchy

-actually this movie would have been far more entertaining had it ended with a nice looong scene of Paula in the woodshed instead of the whole dying thing/preachy moralizing speech thing.

  • @nickmooselives

But wasn't that the way of most films in the 50s? You'd have someone wrap it up with a 'this is what we have learned/what you should know' kind of speech...and you're gonna listen to all of it, understand it, and most importantly, like it!

  • @nickmooselives You are so right - like the ending of 'Bad Seed' where the evil little girl murderer not only gets struck by lightning at movie's end, she also gets paddled by the actress portraying her mother after the cast credits!

  • Yikes, a lot of religion bashing going on in these comments. Some people just need to take a deep breath, relax and get over themselves. After all it's just a movie.

  • The judge is right because most religions don't approve of young girls opening fire on the police, especially those with moral standards. "I don't understand it," said the parents, "I never taught my daughter to shoot so straight and true"

  • @powergirl901 That's what you get when your dad is a Gunslinger. She simply remembered the face of her father.

  • @lobsopdoy Hey, good one. I think you may have the subplot of this thing if Dante, Demme, or DePalma ever shoot it over again. I can see a real Freudian angle there that may work with the under-13's.

  • @powergirl901 Noooo, it was a Dark Tower reference D:

  • Everyone depressed yet?

  • Crispin Glover!

  • Bakersfield... those poor people.

  • I love the shoutout to Mrs. Miller.

  • interesting cock and balls candelabra on the wall of the courtroom......

  • So the same judge that sentenced their daughter to life in prison also gets to decide if they can adopt their product of rape granddaughter? Plus he actively promotes religion from the bench? Someone call the Bar Association!

This whole scene I imagined the bassline from Ministry's 'So What?' in the background.

  • @Luddseven Yeah, I'm pretty sure he can't actually do that.

  • WOW, what a dickish judge! He does not give custody to the proper people, i.e. the grandparents because the judge deemed them "inadequate". Then again this was a ED Wood film so the concept of reality is lax.

  • Their daughter is dead. What the hell are they doing in court?

  • "Beat the love of Jesus into them."

  • Count Jugula!

  • rarely is a radio station named after a person. in know right a radio station with a name would just be stupid, could you imagine, K-JOE, Ronald Radio or Jack FM... oh wait...

  • 1:48 you sure do got a purdy mouth. lol

  • If only they had video games back then to blame all the violence on, those poor parents wouldn't have had to listen to such a long-winded lecture.

  • At the end of the day, no matter what the parents do, it's the child that decides what to do with their upbringing, good or bad.

  • so what

  • Oh my GOD THIS IS THE WORST ENDING OF ANY FILM EVER MAKE IT STOP!

  • Crow and Mike had my rolling at 4:07 to 5:59 , but at 6:01 , I died of laughter.

    I love you MST3K

  • "Think fast, window!"

  • I wonder what the Appeals Court will say about the judge lecturing the grandparents about religion and taking their flesh and blood away.

  • I have a feeling that the Baptists who financed Plan 9 From Outer Space may have had a hand in the religious message of this movie.

  • Stay tuned for the horrific sequel, The Violent Years 2: Daughter of Paula!

  • Worst movie ever made?........well ummmm no.

Close to being the worst movie ever made?.....well ummmm yeah.

    Great MST3K episode.......oh hell yeah!

  • "...beat the love of Jesus into them"

    "Count JUGula"

  • I actually agree with all of the judge's points. But why was a political speech included a movie that - I'm guessing - was supposed to entertain? Ed Wood must have run out of things to write, because this scene is REALLY boring.

  • 4:52 You notice the tune Gypsy is muttering is Tom Servo's theme song from earlier in the episide? Nice touch. :)

  • Holy crap. Who is more boring. This slow talking judge, or Acronis, the slow talking master in Cave Dwellers.

  • @Mrblancnoir

    This guy.

  • booze + jammies don't mix

  • Everyone that disliked this needs to be beat mo- oh no dislikes... So anyway!

  • I was just thinking how 50`s America was scared of teenagers and giant radioactive monsters & wondering why they didn`t combine the two when I realised they did in Village of the Giants.

  • Frank's list is the reason why I WOULDNT turn my Crank To Frank...*shutters*

In fact, the ONLY reason I'd 'enjoy' this list would be if it was a fatality list from some disaster...... LOL

  • @Ickiesgal -You`d enjoy it if it was a fatality list...that`s sick....besides, they left out Adam Sandler, Simon Cowell and Beyonce. -If only your parents had hit you with a woodshed and sentenced you to church you wouldn`t have gone off the rails like this.

  • @Ickiesgal You don't like Larry Storch from F Troop? Who doesn't like Larry Storch? Must be a COMMIE!

  • @lackofattack

The date of the commencement was June 4th, 1994. This episode aired on October 8th, 1994. So I guess Mike and the Bots took a rain check.

  • So Paula Parkins died giving birth to the baby of the man she raped. All in all, textbook poetic justice.

  • @ninjawraith17 Well he lucked out. She would have been a very troublesome babies momma. Child support paid in the way of smokes. Makes me wonder that if this was real, would he get any say so in what happens to the baby.

  • Why wouldnt the judge give their Grandchild over to them? wierd. I didnt even know Ed Wood had anything to do with this movie.

  • that judge looks like an arnie, uncle arnie

  • Wow, how many MST movies have we seen now where the audience was almost directly lectured by a judge?

    ...I count two. :'D

  • Sure, maybe if I hugged my thick-headed son more he wouldn't have started them fires or stolen all that lacrosse equipment, but dammit, sometimes they're just bad apples!

  • Winona? Muh revuh!

  • But he does make for a riffable-character.

  • I don't think this judge lasted too long with his hometown, folksy style of justice and societal roles.

  • Frank going off the reservation about his programming lineup... classic.

  • "Oh my! I can't see this scene too many times!"

  • Winona?

  • That judge must be paid by the word! And TV's Frank by the name!

  • Count Jugula!

  • Geez, the judge was a complete asshole. "Your child committed a crime therefore you don't deserve the right to raise any children yourselves."

  • 2:40

    I should've bought....Pepto......Bismo (death groan)

  • Funny enough, we have a station called FRANK FM here...lol 107.5 but it's a classic rock station, lol not country.

  • @anemicroyaltea69 i like that station! listen to it all the time at home =D

  • @mistysilence2 Hooray! You can back me up then, that I'm not making it up. lol, I wonder if the founders of the station are TV's Frank fans. lol

  • Was this written by Ed Wood or Jack Chick?

  • Is that a penis and balls on the wall at 0:01 ?

  • @Beast9156 i seen that a couple of videos ago

  • Thanks to the judge I have now had 50 years of my life sucked out of me. Thanks alot judge.

  • Oh my God, the judge is sapping the life energy from me.

  • Ed Wood could have used more Reba

  • Yup, they sum up the gas station holdup scene in a nutshell! Awesome!!!

  • Take them out to the Shed is from back in the day when they'd take the kid to get beat away from the house and someplace private (like the shed or garage) so the screams don't disturb mom or the other siblings. I haven't heard that phrase in years. so the moral of the story is. Beat your Kids, put the fear of God in them or else the state should take them. Just wow.

  • Ministry - So What. Uses audio from this movie and I can't shake it every time this judge keeps droning on and on and on.

  • God, the judge just goes on and on and OOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!

  • Count Juggula, lol.

  • The final skit is hilarious. The way servo circles around checking it out-lol!

  • Excellently executed fall, Mike!

  • -Edward Everett Horton...

Hey, Fractured Fairy Tale-Guy gets an honorable mention. lol

  • Must... kill... boring... judge...

  • A lecture from the judge would be considered cruel and unusual punishment!

  • the reenactment of the service station robbery had me in tears!!!! love it!!

  • Why...won't...the...judge...shut...UP?! God, why doesn't Ed Wood just get in front of the camera and flat out tell us that he's desperately trying to make this movie sound significant.

  • Good Lord! Could that judge have been anymore self righteous and preachy.

  • @MST3K1986 In his defense, the script was written by Ed "never miss a chance to pontificate" Wood.

  • He's actually been talking since the beggining of the movie.

  • Geez Judge, why not just give them a gun and tell them to end their lives?

  • wow thejudge made poor judgement...lol..but yeah...he really did!

  • I'm surprised there's so much serious discussion for such a lame movie

  • "Beat the love of Jesus into them!" hahaha!

  • "once a driller, always a driller"

    -is that dirty?

--ah..depends on what books you read...

  • Mike needs a posture pal.

  • HOW CAN ANYONE TALK THIS LONG.

Besides the whole rape scene this movie was terrible. Great commentary though, as usual.

    But man that rape scene.

  • WTF??

A letter from Bakersfield, California? BHS?

LMAO, that hit home for me.

  • @MINSANEvideos Me too! ::laughs::

  • ive seen better.

  • The judge is full of shit. Sentencing an infant to foster care rather than allowing it to live with its family. I wanted to punch him. The kid probably ends up in one of those "families" where the "parents" collect foster kids in order to profit from the money the state gives them every month.

LOL at the ending skit. I <3 Gypsy.

  • When you need to take up fifteen minutes at the end of your film to have a character explain the meaning and moral, it means the whole thing was poorly conveyed and you should just. give. up.

  • i love the skits tom mike and crow. hey did anyone get that skit in part 5? it was hilarious but i felt confused

  • So, they charged Paula for the cop's murder, but not for the murder of that other woman, the second-degree, the countless assaults, robberies, and the reckless endangerment of her two now-dead friends?

  • Thanks for circulating the tapes, Spookette. You've got a good selection for the connoisseur and new MSTie alike.

  • Woah woah woah.

    Return to religion?

Talk about not being secularist, as he is supposed to be. (IIRC)

  • Is this judge filibustering in Congress or something?

  • I'll bet the judges kid is a drug addict and petty criminal.

  • It's a good thing these parents didn't get custody, but not for any of the reasons the Judge stated. The parents' guilt would drive them to make a full 180 in their child -raising philosophy to the point that they'd eventually produce either an oversensitive, absurdly naive hothouse flower with no social skills or capacity to live independently, or an angry, resentful child who focuses all of her energy on lashing out at parents whom she views more as jailers or opressors than as caregivers .

  • I feel sorry for Paula's mother. She wore a great big stole to court and got the slowest-talking judge in the world. It must have felt like a sauna by the time he got through.

  • Thanks to Ministry, I can actually enjoy the judge's speech.;-)

"They say, we say SO WHAAAAAT!!!!!!!!!"

    "Bandit Crow" is adorable!

  • GYPSY FOR PRESIDENT.

  • I prefer Bill to Trace. I just think hes funnier.

  • Conway Twitty?

  • I'll turn my crank to Frank!

  • Squire Fridell?

    Nancy Kulp?

    Charley Rich?

    Bart Starr?

    Orson Bean?

  • This scene is one of the most boring in film history. Ironically, almost everything the judge said was absolutely right.

  • so taking your kids to church and beating them more often will set them straight... okaaaaaaaaaaay.

  • @devospud

I have no real proof but its worth a try!

  • @devospud And this is from Ed Wood? Not the first guy I would associate with Christianity off the top of my head.

  • @devospud

Which is kind of hilarious given that Ed Wood was a transvestite XD

  • @devospud

I don't know about that, but our society is so much less violent today now that we give kids time outs and quality time and video games to babysit them.

The movie makes a valid point in a bad way- parents are the primary influence on their kids wither by being proactive or reactive or absent altogether.

  • What is back there on the wall? A fire alarm or a lamp or what the...?!

  • I'm going to go out on a limb here, but do you think Ed Woods had an issue with his parents? Also, isn't wierd that everytime the judge refers to the delinquents, he always says 'he' or 'his', even though the whole movie was about female criminals?

  • I'd turn my crank to Frank if only to hear Dag Hammarskjold's latest country hit.

  • Who financed this film? Who produced it? Did they think "Well, a couple of decades from now there´s gonna be a TV-show called MYSTERIUM-CINEMATIC-THEATER

or something and they will need riffable films."?

  • omg this movie was made to scare parents! lmfao it was very horrible and it has damaged me greatly! thanks lol :D

  • @dominatrixbabydoll I sure as hell wouldn't want to stand in front of that preachy judge for hours and hours and hours and hours...

  • A "Burt" Ward.

  • I have no real proof, but it's worth a try.

  • This is the movie that Ministry sampled for their song "So What?" that's on "The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste" album. The part right at the beginning of this clip where the judge is talking about teaching kids respect. Awesome!

  • I actually agree with this judge. However in this day and age those parents would have had high powered lawyers and the baby would have been theirs to take home.

  • BOSS JIM GETTY'S.... lol.

  • gotta love a good Ed Wood script :D

  • @themfromspace too bad none exist

  • When I listened to that bit where the Judge talks about the importance of religion in a persons life, I find it hilariously ironic that Ed Wood wrote this, considering later he in his career he would make adult films.

  • To be fair, Ed Wood only wrote the SCRIPT for this. It was directed by someone else.

  • 4:52 -Sing it Gypsy!

  • Gee, what a subtle message

  • Yep, bring your kids up to be good, God-fearing individuals and teach them Biblical morals. Because it's not like God ever condoned killing people on a whim, right?

  • @ToastInTheShell haha i love how you totally ignore both the fact that the movie is SHIT (thats why they put it on the show) AND the fact that this is a show involving robots making fun of a movie

"Repeat to yourself: It's just a show, I should really just relax." Did you listen to the theme song?

  • God doesn't have to condone others he can do it himself, like wiping out the population of the planet in a flood.

  • Anyone who continues this discussion in ANY way will be blocked and have their posts removed. I'm sorry, but I have warned people about this in my other videos several times over. MST3K is for fun, not religious/political/srs bsns discussions.

  • @SpooketteUndead I'm aware of that. If he rpelies, i'lljustignoreit.

  • Thanks, and again, I'm sorry for repeating myself. I just needed a warning posted where everyone could see it.

  • @SpooketteUndead Just repeat to yourself its just a show, I should really just relax

  • @SpooketteUndead some people just can't seem to forget how unimportant their opinion is in the grand scheme....MST3K forever.

  • @SpooketteUndead Yea go freedom of speech! Because political discussions can't be fun, intelligence is so not fun. We should all go do some "fun things"

  • how was that disturbing? especially in contrast with many other ed wood movies
