Ok well I was on the depo and my hair line is now in the middle of my head it is depressing cause I have a good length of hair I. Have thin coarsed hair I been off depo for a year and still just have like peach fuzz so I've been doin quick weaves because I can't stand the sight of my bald head makes me wanna cry so help if you can lol
I have the implant stick in my arm for 1mth now n I noticed I've been losing A LOT of hair...I'm worried, didn't kno u cld lose ur hair cuz of bc...ugh....wht to do?
@Patrick09 Totally agree with you.. The hair loss treatment offered by the site HairLoss101. net (remove space) is hands down one of the most effective on the entire Internet and for what Im concerned the only one that gave me results.. Thumbs up if this helps..:))
Ya'll have to understand some women take BC for medical reason's.... I for one know that Ovarian cyst are painful, I have seen alot of shedding in my hair recently but what can I do... you telling my to either stop my hair from falling out or continue this unbearable pain every month and long frequent bleeding when you tell me I should stop takin BC -_- But it's all up to the individual's preference.
I am 15 and I have endometriosis and I have to take it. I started hair loss several months in and I stopped taking it after 2 months of hair loss. I was still losing hair a month after being off. I'm back on after that month and still losing hair ): how much longer will this last???
i have just started yas pills im only 19 and after a month im not only loosing my hair but also eye brows!!!!!!! =( if i stop ama have more hair loss im confused what to do!!! :(
birth control does work for your hair... you smash the pills and put then on your hair after shampooing or conditions it rapids the hair growth...i do it and there's plenty of more ppl i know who does...
My counsin has the Merana or whatever it is and all her hair is coming out. There no way in hell I would be on anything that makes me suffer hair loss or any other loss. Hopefully she gets it removed. With all the side effects listed on every package, I just cant see her taking anything else. With the good comes a lot of bad. :(
woman who has imbalance hormones , such as high testosterone , ( as it causes baldness ) can take birth control 6 months to restore her hair . but Under the supervision of a doctor.
Actually in myexperience with birth control, I got off the shot and and I got off the pill because my hair was shedding so badly. When I was on the shot, I suffered from alot of breakage. When I changed over to the pill it wasn't so bad but I would run my fingers through my hair and it would shed. So I just decided to get off birth control period because my hair was suffering. My hair would grow so long and then it would turn around and break off.
i stopped mine i had so so much hair loss it was terrible it was so bad i even got tested for thyroid disease but it came back negative and the doc said to stay off birth control for at least 3-6 months..its been about 2 and is still falling out like handfuls a day :(
funny it makes my hair grow faster about an inch in 1 month normally it would be a half an inch in a month. didnt really want to take pills but doctor says i have 2 because im anemic
@xoadadianeox mine either its falling out like crazy!!! has your stopped yet? i have been off like 2 months and im cutting my hair this weekend cuz it is so thin now :(
@schnauzergirl43 just search youtube for black tea rinse, lots of videos on it. i usually boil a cup of water, with a couple bags of black tea (and sometimes other herbs as well) , and use it to rinse my hair - after shampoo and condish. sometimes i rinse it out, sometimes i leave my hair like that. it made my hair stop shedding immediately. quite incredible how cheap and effective it is..
I have never experienced anything like this. But I take care of my body and hair by exercising, taking a multivitamin, eating right and drinking plenty of water. If those are not put in your daily schedules then how do you expect to see hair growth.
I got on the pill two years ago , and not until 1 year later did I notice that my hair was slowly thinning out , and at this point I've lost almost half of my hair , compared to two years ago.
I first found out it's due to my pills today.
Im scared to change or quit the pill , as I've read that this can make it worse , but also stop the hair loss.
I think I'm gonna change my pill. I'm so scared to lose my hair. Dont go on the pill unless you know what you're getting yourself into girls !
My hair shed so badly over a course of a year and a half from using BC pills that I decided to stop taking them and I decided to go natural 6 months later..Go figure!
Yeah, that happened to me. I cut my hair and didn't notice until two months later. My hair usually grows really fast and would have grown back in that time. Since the pills were the only new thing I stopped it and as I said almost exactly two months later my hair was back on its way to growing healthily. I should've found your video earlier.
Interesting. I was on birth control for a few years and didn't notice any hair changes at all with starting or stopping it. I started off with ortho-tricyclen and later switched to Yaz without issues. I went natural after getting off them. I'm pregnant now, and my question would be has anyone experienced first-time hair issues with starting birth control after pregnancy? What about the long-term methods like the patch, Nuvaring, Mirena, and the shot? Thanks!
@NaturalBeauty247 i was on nuva ring and have lost so much hair i would say never to go on it..i had lots of other side affects too...i know its different for everyone but i would highly recommend something else :)
I have not experienced any negative effects on my hair from taking birth control. However, I lead a very healthy lifestyle-I drink plenty of water, faithfully take a multivitamin, and exercise on a regular basis. My doctor told me that this makes a big difference. Hope this helps somebody.
(Cont'd) Thank God I had thick hair to begin w/ bc if I didn't, Lord help me! When my hair first started shedding it was aweful, but after a while it decreased. I began taking more vitamins-- women's one a day, primrose oil & flaxseed oil-- and also, drinking more water and exercising (which helped a lot)!
I hope this post helps someone else who may be experiencing the same thing.
** Please note that the length of time you stayed on BC may contrib to the amt of time it takes to stop shedding.
@UniQueLeeMade oh im so glad you posted this i was only on my bc for like 3 months and i started noticing my hair falling out so i took out the nuva ring and ever since i have been losing tons of hair just like you...seriously the other day my sister had my hair on her hahaha its ridiculous!
Hi!.. I ran across this video just a moment ago and wanted to comment on this topic and also, thank you for posting this video.
I, unfortunately, encountered this problem of hair loss after stopping birth control. I was on BC for about 6 years and about 2 yrs ago I stopped; which was the worst mistake ever! My hair began to shed tremendously (abt 100 to 200 strands a day) and today, my hair still sheds but not as much. (I'm gonna continue writing in another post)
Good vid, I've been on BC for years and haven't experienced any hair loss except 9 mo after I had my son I sexperienced a lot of shedding. I lost all the beautiful hair I grew while I was prego, but I delt with it. .
@kerrygt4638 A reason yoou could have experience excessive shedding after the birth of your child could be due to a very common problem calle "Postpartum Shedding" The most common areas to lose hair is the temples and the middle of your head. It should subside within 4-6 months after it has began. Hope this helps.
Great vid. Well, I'm against the pill. I was on t for years due to PCOS and my hair was a little bit thinner on the pills than when I came off. It wasn't bad, but I noticed it. I am now back on the pill (medical reasons which I am not happy about) and am closely watching what happens. I'm on a low harmone pill so it may not be too bad.
