@ImpalerGirl They often go to the tree in the corner of the exhibit and curl up around the base of the tree. One used to stretch out along the ledge near the visitor viewing glass, but hasn't been doing that as much lately. Type "anaconda" in the video search box on my main page, and you will see some of the videos I have showing the anacondas in different parts of the exhibit.
I saw these big green fellas while I was there!! They were awesome! it almost looked like they were one huge snake. but i pointed out the two heads. ;)
@ZooVisitorMM Well thank you! And actually, I am very observant! But it was a little 5 year old who thought it was one snakes so... i can't really take credit for that OH NEVER MIND! My mom actually thought it was one so, never mind! My friend Monica even spotted the two seperate tails! :p
@Nerdydolfin Burmese pythons are fascinating, too. But you do bring up a good point. I think zoos should have as many different species on exhibit as possible.
Unfortunately, the current trend seems to be to reduce the number of species, and sometimes even the total number of animals.
@ryryb1999 My point was kind of what ZooVisitor pointed out. I don't think burms are dumb, they're just really common snakes to see as pets and in zoos. More variety would be more interesting.
hmmmm.... i am an owner of multiple anacondas myself.... and am i mistaken or is that actaully a yellow anaconda? cuz none of my greens look liek that and it resemble all of my yellows.
@420jaymoney Several people have mentioned that one of these anacondas looks different than usual. But, according to Zoo staff they are both green anacondas.
@420jaymoney They are both greens, in no way does the lighter of the two look like a yellow, yellows have full bar patterns, a much different head structure, and a 5th srtipe down the middle of their head, the lighter looks like a hypomelanistic (lacking dark pigments) green. but they are most deffinatly greens. ben renick breeds orange and yellow hypo greens. benrenick. com, check them out and you can see what i mean.
Do they ever get OUT of the pool? O_O

@ImpalerGirl You are very observant. A lot of people don't notice that there are two snakes when they are in the pool together!

Thanks!
It will be wonderful if you can add anacondas to your family. Yellow anacondas are beautiful, too.
(That reminds me - I have to visit the Brandywine Zoo again soon to see the yellow anaconda there!)
