Thank you SOOO much for posting this, Maria Tanase was so phenomenal, yet, SO versatile, her memory should not at all be overlooked. She was often called the "Edith Piaf of Romania", even though, both curiously and strangely enough, they both died in 1963, close in age, in fact--Maria at 49, Piaf at 46 or 47. There's also a recent biopic from already out from France called "Le Vie en Rose" about the life of Piaf herself, but again, strangely and curiously enough, nothing on Maria Tanase (pacat).

@ang3lik15 - fii linistit ca nu vei pati nimic la cap. Personajul lui Rebreanu a devenit obsedat de melodia asta, pentru ca la acest joc isi cunoscuse nevasta si in acea perioada el se comportase normal cu ea.
