  • making it right now :P

  • lol 0:41 he said only use egg yolk, but in the mixture has egg whites too......

but yea if u use egg white as well the whole pasta sauce will get clod up....so use egg yolk only

  • Watching you eat....gahhh

  • i'm going to cook the recipe right now!

  • I have seen many of your videos. They are fun to watch and very entertaining. Unfortunately, you are ruining your health by following SAD (standard American Diet). Too much cream, milk, cheese, eggs, white bread. You are putting yourself at risk for heart disease, diabetes, stroke .. all the diseases that were very uncommon in Japan until recently.

  • @vidamo123 Actually, there is little risk involved when you indulge in moderation. Most of his videos featuring Japanese cuisine are very healthy, and there are only problems when he makes Italian food. That said, it's still a delicious dish, but one that no one in their right mind would eat every day of the week.

  • OMG.. Why am I torturing myself like this? It's four am in the freaking morning! I can't stop watching the video and I'm hungry.. GRRRR

  • @NineTailedEstherea I do that too :))

  • thats the most awesome bacon i've seen

  • Nom nom nom nom nom

  • OMG IM SO HUNGRY RIGHT NOW....THAT LOOKS DELICIOUS!

  • In Italy we don't use garlic, heavy cream and parsley.. we just mix the eggs with grated cheese (if you can find "pecorino romano" is the best one), and we use pancetta, or better guanciale instead of bacon. But I still like your way, and carbonara is one of my favorite pasta! :)

  • at 3:21, who's "we"

  • where do you find square bacon?o_0

  • Thanks runny! I just made this for lunch and it was awesome <3

  • bakong

  • i just made the japanese version carbonara and it is soooooooo goooood!!!i made the italian version before ut like the japanese version batter in my opinion

  • RunnyRunny i wish u would have said to premake the pasta part fr slow ppl like me.LOL

  • yeah it is easy to make but the ingredients are expensive, especially the cheese.

  • *drooling and drooling more*

  • @1000whitedusts Stop drooling like a baby and make your own carbonara!

  • @Sone4Ever100 hahaha. i've made one, even though it's a failure (it's like...how to say it in english? search on google "mi kocok", you'll understand). besides, i can't help to not drooling... it looks really tasty. :p

  • @1000whitedusts lol mi kocok

  • @iMegey lol, yeah. the sauce's not thick. however, when i tasted it, it quite good. XD

  • I'm sorry but I'm actually italian :) I like the way you did it even if it's not the "right" way. You shouldn't use cream, cheese, garlic and parsley...but many italians use a little cream because it's easier!!!! If you find a proper italian grocery store buy some pancetta to use instead of bacon (we don't eat bacon traditionally it Italy).

    BUT I LOVE YOUR VIDEO!

  • what kinda of cheese is that?

  • @pinkbunnybun its clearly parmesan

  • @pinkbunnybun pamazan cheese

  • Comment removed

  • @pinkbunnybun atalian cheese its hard to spell srry

  • @pinkbunnybun Parmesan, I think.

  • I think I bought the wrong cream for this!!! aiyeee! >,<;;

  • I should not watch this video,im so hungry now,and its 3:30 AM DAMN IT !!!

  • Mine turned out really lumpy. Any idea as to what I did wrong?

  • @vaiol123 You probably overcooked it, if it's lumpy it's because you cooked the egg too much.

  • @vaiol123 maybe you left it on for too long or you didn't mix well :)

  • What a shit recipe!

  • When I get bored, i watch cooking videos. I always end up eating after. :( I'm hungry.

  • Delicious recipe! And it's really easy to make.

I took longer to buy the ingredients than cooking XD

    thx, Tarou-san!

  • that was easy got to try it ty runny.yummylicious

  • JUST DO IT hahahahaaha LOL XD

  • This was so yummy! I'm glad I made it and made a video of it too! Thanks runnyrunny!

  • You look like Ken Watanabe, seriously

  • damn you man... you make me hungry.. wish i can try your recipe..

  • is that recipe enough for 2 people?.

  • This looks so freaking delicious.

I'm getting so hungry watching all of these cooking videos!

Wish I could cook well. :(

  • I think i'll try this next, I tried some of the carrot and onion tempura and it was very tasty, i love onions carrots gave it a nice sweetness.

  • i've tried this, and this is soooo deliciousss! very rich, very creamy. i also add ketchup and chilli sauce to spice it up a little bit :D

  • CHANKO NABE SAN! i mean RUNNY! ITADAKIMASU

  • Fat content mad high! Any substitutes for heavy cream...?

  • you should eat as much as you likeof your food lol i always do. my husband is about your size and he loves spagetti the way you love carbonara.

  • I can sympathize. I love creamy pasta esp with savory meats, mushrooms and cheese.

    They are so delicious!!! >_<

  • i'm italian and i appreciate your way of cooking, i tolerate the heavy cream in the carbonara...but simply that's not bacon, it's a low quality ham. However it seems good

  • tabetai...

  • In Japan, Western dishes are called 'Yousyoku'.

But, some of them are Japanized, or created in Japan, so these are different from original dishes.

As an example, there is a 'Yousyoku' called 'Neapolitan spaghetti' in Japan.

But, such a dish does not exist in actual Naples of Italy.

    -

  • @Runnyrunny999 I tried cooking this today. But my sauce 'clots' up into little bits. :( Im not sure why this happens

  • @PaintAThousandWords most likely either u didnt turn down the heat when u put the sauce in, or you used egg whites, it clots up cuz is turning the sauce into scramble egg texture...

  • @xenoboa88 Thanks a lot! That was really helpful.

Will try this again another time and see how it goes :D Excited!

  • @PaintAThousandWords maybe thats because you didn't mix it well or you left it on for too long :)

  • I'm italian, but i think that this carbonara is very good!!

In italy we're not use garlic, but onion, and only red part of egg, :)

    Your videos are fantastic, compliments!

(sorry, my english isn't good!! but i suppose that you don't speak italian..... :-P )

  • runny this food are TASTY AND GOOD VERY VERY TASTY

  • @Isoluvmylife fasting month?

  • @Jordanx517 muslims fast for 1 month in a year. they abstain from food and drink from a certain time in the early morning until sometime in the evening like say 7-ish pm? the chosen month varies from year to year, they follow a certain calendar or something. (i'm not muslim but hence the very vague answer i can give you LOL) hope that helped you though.

  • Just made this 4 my last fasting month :)

  • Watching you eat this makes me hungry.

  • What type of bread are you using to make that garlic bread you're eating? it looks so thick and delicious.

  • I subconsciously found myself licking my lips at 2:32 LOL

  • i wish tehres real japanese restaurant here in the US... all here are fake and wannabes

  • I'm italian girl and I love carbonara... but I'm curious to eat soba! =)

  • Every video i watch by you my appetite sky rockets

  • Making this as I watch it.

  • i'm gonna try this recipe for sure,,,! it looks yummy!

  • I tried your recipe...but I think I messed it up. The sauce I made was chunky=( I'm gonna try harder. Thanks for your video=D

  • I have found over the years that I can't eat as much as I used to. It must be a metabolism thing or something. Before I remember having large plates of pasta and even get a second helping, now I can only eat one serving but it is okay. Getting older my body does not burn off the food as it used to :/ so eating less is better or I would get fat. :p

  • the recipe on the list says 30g but on the video says 150g...........so which one is right?help >.>

  • @isoluvmylife the cheese

  • Purists beware, this is runnyrunny cooking, it's not incorrect, it's just how we wants to make it.

  • Wow Runny really you should be a chef.

  • Love you interpretation of spaghetti alla carbonara man! Keep up the good work!

  • im a vegitarian and i dont want to put bacon in it but it still looks good!! can i use something els?!

  • Some italian tips : avoid the cream (generally it is used abroad to make it "commercial") and just stick with eggs. Secondly..don't cook the mixed eggs (just use the warmth of spaghetti..but eggs don't need to get omlette-style). Rest of process is correct (and btw..black pepper is pretty compulsory) :) Cheers

  • Ah, as italian I would love to learn how to cook Sukiyaki wich is one of my favorite japanese dish!!

    ;)

  • First of all, hi from Italy!

Very nice channel, but the original recipe does not provide either garlic and cream.

I personally use onion and I cook it with the bacon. Try this variation, if you like!

    ;)

  • runny listen to me, forget the garlic and the cream.....and u r on a good way....belive me.....i'm italian... ^^

  • can i just use milk?..

  • hey runny, in the video you said 150g of grated cheese but in the video information you wrote "30g grated cheese (30g 粉チーズ)". i'm very confused, i just tried this recipe with 150g and my sauce was very watery and had many lumps of cheese.

so are we supposed to use 30g or 150g?

  • I just made this for dinner, and it was delicious! Thanks for sharing the recipe :-)

  • u make cooking seem so easy and enjoyable! thanks for the videos! :D

  • im not sure if its the cream or what but my cabonara turned out to be really chalky, i put exact amount as told..the cheese turned out to be really chalky..i did a good stir..but i wonder why? can it be cos my heavy cream is from fridge? its really salty too..i added 2 teaspoons of salt in the pot while boiling the spaghetti..

  • im going to try it tonight! will feedback on the receipe in awhile! thanks for sharing its simple and great for newbie cook! I didn't get parseley tho

  • Hi, I love your channel! I'm italian, and i think your carbonara is good, but not the original one!

Original carbonara it's with eggs, "Pecorino Romano" cheese, Guanciale and black pepper! No cream and no garlic! :)

If you come one day in Italy I will be glad to make you eat all of our great food :)

  • @VideoOnTheMend Of course! He stated in the title that it is Japanese Carbonara

  • I'm Italian and I love the Japan food, expecially sushi! mmmm....so good!!!

  • カルボナーラ is one of my favorite pastas, too! i make it often at home :) i love your cooking videos!! looking forward to more <3

  • it look very delicious!i would like to eat!

  • Oh Man! My mouth is watering, I should nit watch your videos before bed

  • Thanks for sharing this video runny it so simple and delicious!

  • I tried out this recipe and it turned out quite tasty! And it's so easy to make, too.

  • I'm Italian and I love Japanese food ... I'm glad to know that in Japan, the Italian food is eaten! And also your food looks so good! I can not wait to go to Japan! Greetings from Italy! : D

  • @MissMalfoyuno only one thing: here in Italy we do the carbonara in a different way...anyway, your way seems to be very good! I'll try it! :D

  • @runnyrunny999 lol what did tm1976210 say in this comment? I put it into google translate and it gave me "I do not think Tetara handsome funny uncle." These tranlate programs are retarded.

  • heyyyy runnyrunny!! :)

i cooked carbonara too and i used your recipe :D :D !!! hope you like it ! :))

  • this is very similar to pasta Alfredo

  • Runny,you're realy gooooooooddddddd :>>> i love your recipe (this) :)))))) < 3

  • ...you sure you can't eat that much again? lol I can't imagine how you ate back then...

  • ncs : non ci siamo!

  • Great video!

  • It's actually made with pig's cheek instead of bacon from the belly.

I guess you could say this is an americanized recipe

  • thank you runny this was awesome

  • SUBSCRIBED!!!

  • you made me sooooo hungry xD

  • next time you make garlic bread, try adding oregano and basil.

  • If I'm not mistaken, this is pretty much the standard recipe for regular carbonara. Oh how I wish to eat this dish again, creamy pasta dishes are so delicious!

  • @Tiennumidori The authentic recipe doesn't use cream, and I think usually they add pecorino instead of parmigiano. But most restaurants seem to make it the way runny does.. with cream. Tastes nice anyway :)

  • I just ate this for the second time and it's always gooooooooooooooooooood !

  • Cute Cat

  • Don't let anyone tell you how to eat your food.

  • I like your vids! You cook very well also the italian recipes and it's the first time i see it from a stranger!

carbonara in Italy, is also cooked without cream, just eggs, parmigiano o grana padano o pecorino and bacon.

  • I'm not really sure, but - isn't carbonara made with cottage cheese ?

  • Garlic? Never used in Carbonara recipe.....I'm italian and I know how to cook this....well I have to try this ingredient....maybe can be a good idea!! Instead of the cream I use a little bit of milk (a tablespoon)....and add eggs out of the warm of the flame....

  • awesome video man ^_^

  • THAT LOOKS SO GOOD
