My theory is, that there's a chip in Nardwuar's brain that's meant to stop him from talking so fast as well as spurting out random yet relevant information. The only way you can activate it is by finishing the "Doot Doola Doot Doo..." he says at the end of his interviews.

I had him talking about live music and clubs in Vancouver, so I guess he was saying that he never saw the Subhumans UK live. Nardwuar probably didn't see them growing up because they became Citizen Fish later on. I don't think they put out any records as the Subhumans after around '86, but they did put out a lot over the years. Great band. My guess is that Nardwuar knows who they are now, but he may not have in the late 80's?

Thanks for checking out the video! To answer your questions, I'd have to say no, I don't believe it's an act. Every time I've talked to Nardwuar, he's always very professional and courteous, and like anybody, when he gets excited about something, his energy level skyrockets! Get him talking about old garage-rock or local punk venues, and you'll see how excited he gets. I'm no expert on the ways of Nardwuar, but I think he's just really a genuinely passionate & driven person doing what he loves!
