  • The fally-over drum wins hands down.

  • found this video 3 years ago and I still come back from time to time because its so awesome. thank you for this awesome cover dude!

  • Bloody brilliant!

  • what sofware did you use to mix the videos ?

  • guitar - blues, jazz, fusion, country, punk, rock, metal, shred, classical, spanish, surf, funk, r &b, pop, reggae, etc.

ukulele - none of that ^

    guitar wins.

  • @GuitarLord3000 Actually, ukulele = surf, spanish, funk, pop, punk, country, blues, jazz (at a push), classical, r & b and reggae. And who needs shred anyway?

  • @hazuinf what freakin funk, pop, punk (punk? really?!), jazz, blues, and/or r&b song has a ukulele in it?! name ONE. btw i hate shred. i just named it because it involves guitar and not ukulele. guitar is much more versatile than ukulele. and its a much cooler instrument. i bet if you asked 100 people would they rather play guitar or ukulele 99% would choose guitar. who doesnt want to learn guitar?

  • @GuitarLord3000 Whether it HAS been used does not equate to whether it can be. I've seen plenty of great punk covers done on ukuleles. They're nearly as versatile as guitars, they just have a different tone (like comparing two very different guitars). I've played guitar for four years, and uke for three, and they're both equally as fun to play, so whether guitars are preconceived as cooler or not is irrelevant.

  • @hazuinf name ONE ukulele cover of a punk song. and yes versatility and how cool it is does make an instrument better than another. i dont really care how you try to rationalize it or how many "big" words you try to squeeze in just to seem intelligent ukulele still isnt that great. guitar is much better.

  • @GuitarLord3000 There're plenty on youtube.

Big words? Clearly you think I'm trying to fake intelligence because you didn't understand it (I wasn't saying being more versatile or cool doesn't make the instrument better, I was saying that whether an instrument 'appears before trying it' to be cooler is irrelevant, ie. if they're just saying it's cool before trying, their opinion is not relevant). So you didn't understand it because you're stupid, not because I was trying to sound intelligent.

  • @hazuinf ok so if there's sooo many covers, why cant you name just one? and i completely understood what you said. you just tried to make yourself sound smarter. this isnt language class. yes everybody thinks guitar is cool period. nobody really wants to play ukulele.

  • @GuitarLord3000 There's some in the suggested videos. A cover of Judy is a Punk and one of I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend.

I didn't try to make myself sound smarter. I used the word 'preconceived'. It's not an incredibly long/difficult word.

And what you're still not getting is that whether people think guitar is cool or not is irrelevant (that short enough?) if they haven't tried both instruments.

  • @hazuinf i heard both covers and neither sound right on ukulele. its not for punk or any other genres you named off. and i didnt say anything about the word preconceived. you did. guitar is cooler than the ukulele. guitar is more versatile than the ukulele. therefore guitar is better than the ukulele. you dont have to learn to play an instrument just to know if its better than another. you just know.

  • whats its the song?

  • ukulele

  • @MrNikcccc ukulele is greater

  • Yep. or he painted 1 string in the colors of whats behind it (neck and fret marks =P)

  • And i think he's playing that drum with a barbecue lighter...

  • Whatever gets the job done, I used coins as picks to play bass at school :P

  • unbelievable, i started dancing!!! very funny and talent

  • You ask "Can a ukulele be in a Link Wray song?"

hmmm... I do not decide. I'd rather say: well here it is or was! :-)

GUGUG = Neverending good surprise :-)

  • How about making a cd?

I thing that Ringo is your favourite Beatle!

(Very hard to find the clue! ;))

  • Is this guitar a Gibson Les Paul in black?

Jack the Ripper, the Joe 90 theme and your brilliant rendition of Get Carter are some of the best music I have seen or heard on youtube.

Love the new direction too (Friends are Electric/Acoustic).

    Cheers

    Andy in Oz

  • nice gretsch (mines called gretschin by the way, whats yours name?, but i still want an ukulele

  • The Ukulele actaully does add a great effect to it like a little chop effect and it makes it sound great

  • The uke is fine adds a chop into the rhythm and doesn't distract. (You would be blown away if it were live on stage, of course.) Bass is slightly out of tune, so what. The original recording of 'Rumble' the bass was off too. Guitar is right, the poses are about perfect, just it needs to be louder and / or more distorted and crunchy, you need to turn the amp all the way up or poke holes in the speaker or something. Anyway I like this THANKS

  • Great playing!! Sweet sounds!! I enjoyed that, cheers :)

  • can't stop listening watching this one. I love jack the ripper. Link Wray Hooooray

  • brilliant excellent

  • hey there is no D string in the bass =O

  • i luv how he moves in this vid. he looks stiff and edgy yet he has the loose relaxed wavy feel. idk what im saying lol. great job!

  • the answer is yes to the question of combining link wray and little stringed devices. but you knew that...

  • Your best ever !

  • Love the wardrobe change for each instrument...My fav outfit....THe bass!!!

  • Is that an Egmond bass? Dutch?

    Nice video!

  • I love it,it's too original,good job!

    A fan from France ^^

  • I love the fact that he switches clothes for each instrument and wears the leather jacket when playing the guitar. Makes it slightly surreal.

  • gee I love this!!

  • Love'n this!!! shared it everywhere!

  • I really loved this.. fantastic !

  • Fantastic. Congrats!!!

  • Killer. That Gretsch is beautiful.

  • Haha lov ya :D grat work :D

  • how do you make, all come together?!

  • awesome. great cover

  • whoever made this is the greatest...

  • what kind of bass be that
