  • It would be a good idea d and g sting or your whole guitar first it sounds a little wobbly

  • @riffkiller43 I meant to say tune your G and D strings first. To only teach the main lick isn't much of a lesson either.

  • idiot...

  • He forgot the slides...

  • Not a bad lesson but u left out so much of the intro. Once u learn this and try to play it with the original version it will sound so bad but ur good at guitar. Its alot harder than this

  • Ouch... better watch a few vid of him playing it... kinda wrong pal! The double stop at the fifth position is done sliding to it!

  • As a really bad new guitar guy,I wanna say thanks man..

Keep up the good work brudda, new guys need all the help they can get......

  • Thats a whole lotta talkin for a basic riff dear liza

  • Out of tune , driving me crazy!

  • You talk too much. just play, use a whammy bar,and shut the hell up

  • @FredwardBensen almost like wiping your ass clean on the first stroke aye''

  • yea', yur guitar is out of tune dude''

    lol

  • NICE JOB, WHAT IS THE BASS LINES FOR THAT SONG?

  • This is the special ed version

  • @franco0311 no, thats yur dad yo''

  • what's the tab for palm mute and more grunt on the fifth fret...

a little more greasy and nasty, kinda like you getting ready to get some..

and more umpth all together, other than that it's ok....

  • what guitar is that

  • @josuuasboardmanvideo A PRS(Paul Reed smith).

  • @josuuasboardmanvideo its an Ibanez, girls guitar

  • @manomyth11 thats not true, I play an ibanez, providing the fact im trying to get a Les

Paul Epiphone. But anyways. You play what you can get. There really isnt a need to bash guitars

  • @pepp5150 Matt Foley can play some mean guitar.

  • didn't palm mute. Sounds so wrong.

  • @Helsling then learn and play it with palm mutes u idiot

  • @joeyjeremiah1 play with my penis man''

  • @manomyth11 ur a pathetic excuse for a guitar player play with your penis wow so ur gay too that just makes u look even more and id rather have ur mom play with mine like the good bitch she is

  • @Helsling dass wah yur ma said wen yur daddy cakes spilled his juice''

  • Good one man... i like your lessons

  • what ?

  • The tab is right but the song does not jump right into the 0,3,4 pick up notes until after the 2nd unison bend a couple times through. Meaning the riff uses the muted open A string as a peddle tone the first couple times, if you wanna play whats on the actual song.

  • @atmdaddy thank you!!! i was thinking wtf!?!

  • Cool video. It seems we have a few things in common!:)

  • @NoQuattro lol why are you on this video the first place

  • @RobDZeppelin lol cuz I like to watch people play

  • i want the print off

  • @RT101894 What you just typed right there...well, that's not a real sentence. Stay in school, kids. Otherwise, you could end up writing sentence fragments and nonsensical bullshit like this guy.

  • @NoQuattro ooooooooooooo

  • thanks for the lessons

  • @NoQuattro Want some cheese with that wine, why dont you get off the computer if you dont like it

  • NUUUUUUUUGENT!!!!!

  • @WyldeProdigy

why don't you smartass make a better video of it? If you don't, then shut your mouth and fuck off. Prick.

  • @NoQuattro Dude..whats the difference by learning to play guitar via the internet, or via a teacher??? If you can mention that, with a strong argument, i cant disaggree with, you may complain about this video lessons.

I mean dont tell me you've started playing guitar by ear, cus thats almost impossible to do. for a starter. Mean i use youtube and sorts, as information, and it helped me a lot to get started.

  • @DieGroeneKud Well, I started playing the guitar around 1994-1995. There was no Youtube back then. All I had to start with was a Mel Bay chord book and my stereo. So, in a sense, I did begin playing by ear and trying to mimic what was coming out of the speakers. I've never taken a single lesson from anyone, although I'm sure it would be beneficial on some level even today. Playing by ear is a very important component to any guitarist's skill set and it shouldn't be overlooked.

  • leave him alone dude. You get the basic idea about how to play the song from the video be happy and just play

  • @ZODIAKFV I will be glad!!!

  • thx

  • i love this song thanks i was having trouble with it keep rockin

  • I'm pretty sure there is either palm muting or open string in between those chords dude. He plays it different.

  • thanks dude. good stuff..btw, what kind of guitar are you playing. i can't see the name on the headstock

  • it's a paul reed smith

  • @elkabongx i think its a PRS

  • he also forgot a the second time u do the bend u do it in the beginning then a second time before u start doing the 0 3 4

  • Thanks man

  • Ur right i dnt no how to play it yet but those 3 notes are in the3 original and you cant here them here

  • This guy plays good, but his guitar is out of tune.

  • Magnifico. Estoy aprndiendo guitarra y son muy didacticos estos videos. Es una suerte poder acceder a ellos ya que las clases de guitarra son carisimas.

  • ok i watched this and i cant get it to sound right it sounds like its to high pitched while playing with the g string

  • @hhhfan ...sorry, but my immaturity inside is telling me to say this. YOU SAID G STRING!

    sorry. I just had too

  • killer tone dude

  • thank 4 the tutorial and very nice video

  • fifth fret has dumb wing!!!

  • its a paul reed smith with a custom inlay i think but could be custom shop thats close to a prs

  • what level?

  • Nobody cares. Don't comment on a real musician's video talking about a game. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE, Guitar Hero. But it's nothing like actually being able to play something. That guitar, or that piano, sax, bagpipes even. Will be with you for the rest of your life.

  • What kind of guitar is that

  • Cat Scratch Fewever by Ted Nuget.

  • lol so true

  • does anyone know where i can find the lead lessons of this song?? cause ive got the main riff down pat

  • so easy a cave man can do it

  • Ted Nugent is a Rock'n Roll cave man.

  • @TheRisingforce2000 No, that's Craveman:)

  • @TheRisingforce2000 yea it is but it hard to put your soul in the song at the same time

  • Great tut.

Besides the fact he looks a bit like the dramatic chipmunk...

  • your right. shit never changes. theres always someone like you on here also.

  • That's wrong on the riff you are are supposed to slide 4-5 and also for some of the chords you are supposed to hit the a string open and palm mute it most ff it is right except for the parts I said

  • wow...why are you guys bitchin..this was made 2 years ago

  • Wrong. You slide up on the third and forth fret when you bar.

  • how can i play it with the bass???

  • DO A BARREL ROLL

  • look up bass tabs for it.

  • dude shut up i bet you don't know anything about it

your just a fat 13 year old on his computer all day

  • lol, 'fat 13 year old on his computer' - classic!

  • dude just shut up

  • I think he did a great job and thank you for helping the ones who need it , and the ones who are saying how sorry it is WHERE IS YOUR VIDEO come on put your money where your mouth is

    CRUE

  • The video is out how to play it correctly..it was put out by TED NUGENT!!!! IDIOT!!!

  • Who you calling a idiot ?

  • how many times can he look at that fucking tab?

  • on 0-3-4 other than that sounds awesome! Great job!

  • Ted Nugent is awesome, thanks for the vid!

  • emo blood i no how it was ritten ted came up with the tune and his wife was looking threw an old medical journal and found cat scratch fever and the tune came to his mind an he put it together he said that his mind was like a computer

  • dont watch it or listen to it then

  • Cool!

  • Wow... The lesson was cool. But get a tuner dude.

  • nice PRS man

  • Ouch his guitar is slightly out... Quite unpleasant.

  • nice prs

  • haha q ojete mi guitarra ta bien chida

  • That is one hot rif off all time

  • teach the whole song w/the solo and all

  • Cool vid are the tabs available anywhere?

  • you're correct!

  • can u do better?

  • cool!!!

  • do you know what riff that was? it was cat scratch fever.. no shit dumbfuck it tells me that in the title.

  • Hey that song is supposed to be played with distortion.

  • Wrong. Ted pushed the tubes of his Fender 'super amps' to the brink of destruction. He didn't use distortion, he used good old fasioned tube crunch. To achieve this sound will fry your eardrums.

  • If you have ever watched Ted play this, you would know that you slide the 4th frets to the 5th frets in the intro...what a tool.

  • I think I may have it somewhat right, I play it in one of my videos

  • He plays it to white

  • dude i know a kid named michael goldstein who looks just like that dude and he talks like him to

  • point in your reply?

  • PRS ?

  • yes it's a PRS, it says PRS on the headstock, and it has the bird inlays. i thought you played guitar? shouldn't you have known that?

  • so coz i play guitar i need to know every type of guitar in the world

  • The tab shows the correct frets but Ted uses slides not just strums for that riff.

  • Awesome sound Daddio!!

  • thanks for the lesson cool

  • i bet you got a blond wig as well.

  • throw a bend or 2 in there, add some feeling!

    great job

  • I like it

  • thanks your a big help

  • u use a marshal amp? im guessing

  • haha this guy is pretty cool, thanks for the lesson dude

  • The song is fun to play on guitar. The crowd loved my band when we played it outside of DJ's house.

  • good lesson but i think the guitar was outta tune a lil bit

  • it was probably from all the bendin he did

  • Alsum Ted Nugent is the shit keep it up!!!!

  • who said fatties can't play rock n' roll.

  • Yep, just ask Leslie West.

  • thanks dude

  • He didn't play the notes on the E string the first time he played it. The second time he did it, he fucked up, and lost tempo. And the notes that he called "pickups" where also palm muted.

  • i learned this in 10 mintues rom this vid

  • Thank you soo much this is an awesome tutorial... i got the half of it down in probably 15 minutes... im just stuck on the other half because its kinda confused.... like you keep saying wrong frets and stuff... if anyone has any REALLY REALLY good tutorials for cat scratch fever please send them to me please... id really like to know how to play the whole beginning... not just half. thanks

  • LOL.

  • Stop spamming all the Nugent vids, little boy.

  • Good job bro

  • hendrix did he not do it all by ear. this is to much to remember.

  • good...thanks.

  • Awesome PRS and awesome video.

  • Does that even matter? he obviously knows it, you don't

  • thank..very thank...good..salute from Chile.

  • love the song and the guitar hes using

  • wow what amp are you using i love that sound

  • that is a Marshall 50 watt Valvestate played through a Marshall 2/12 cab 1936

  • its also the pickup on the guitar.. i have a stratocaster and i'd never get that sound out of it

  • goofball mackoy u act like u write ted nugents fuckin music or sumthing

  • wat is the distortion?

  • good sound

  • nice video nice prs gutiar but dude buy a chromatic tuner and tune that gutiar. Other than that thanks for the help with this song.

  • Ted uses slides from 4 to 5 and back again. He does not strum every note.

  • The open , 3, 4 on the 6th string is not played the first time through . Other than that spot on.

  • ace lesson,it sounds just like ted nugent

  • stfu

  • Ditto with the last comment.. good teacher... bad tuner lol

  • you are my hero

  • you are my hero

  • woooo i learned it

  • good job man keep rocking

  • good job man keep rocking

  • Augment the riff with the muted open A string, walk up on the E string between phrases. And slide up to the C and finger vibrato the chord.

    A (a) B (a) /C C (a)

    A B (a) /C

    (e g g#)

    A (a) B (a) /C C (a)

    C\B (a) A

  • not a ted nugent fan but that sounds pretty damn good

  • you need to get your head examined then.

  • quo are more my kinda band

  • badass riff

  • It is easy to talk

  • scratch that last comment i seen the notes on his tabs but he should slide on the power chords.

  • hes missing some bass licks in there too. On the E bass string between the main riff it goes E, G, G sharp. Thats not the bass guitar you hear in the song.

  • 0-3-4, bud. what notes do you think those are?

  • Like i said, E, G, G sharp, don't try to be a smart ass. He doesn't play them in his lesson on ted's song, but if you listen to ted's recording you can hear it. Look it up on some tabs or sheet music thats worth a crap and you'll see.

  • thanks. u explain how to play this well 3rd day playin and got it in 10 min

    :P

  • I play drums, dont really care for the guitar, but damn that just made me want to learn! kick ass bro!

  • Can I just say this? In order to become a great guitar player either learn to read music notation or learn by ear. I keep saying this over and over and sorry if this is too abrupt. Even if it takes a very long time, you learn more about yourself then the person who wrote the tab. But if you never learn to listen, you will never hear yourself.

  • good job though this is like yhe best one online

  • YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is cat scratch fever for a baby!

  • Hey nice video those are great and help alot!!! thnx

  • omg you are so confusing but i think i got it thanks

  • Nitro's version is so much better, doubting if many even know who Nitro WAS. shame shame
