  • not really a demonstration when it takes 2 and a half minutes for 2 seconds of guitar

  • ice pick heaven

  • Way too much high shrill tone like most BJ Amps.

  • That looks like a cool guitar shop - they're amazing amps :-)

  • 2 EL34's? NO WAY!!!

  • cant get at mass market retailers, guitar center has everything, i like mom and pop shops but i ussually get better service and attitude at guitar center, much more variety as well

  • Its definitely Fiesta Red, and its just another Blues Junior. You could probably re-tolex it yourself for less than the difference between a black BJ and this BJ.

  • sounds like a noise factory amp.........

  • Hummmmm

  • I agree, salesman did a crappy demo.I was beginning to think he didnt know how to play!

  • wow put the word texas on anything and I walk away from it..

its a meaningless buzzword. ( whispers: besides its really fiesta red.)

  • @randomtwit ever heard of TEXAS special pickups???

  • @JQmusical yeah lol another product marketing term

  • hey man, you need a chair!

  • texas red is a great amp, you can also check it at:

    QuuRFch-0f0

    and

    M8jsjP0Dcdo&feature=related

sorry if you think is spam...

  • How long was it before your EL84 power tubes started to rattle? Mine started to rattle after about 20 hours of playing time---absolutely unacceptable (this is a mechanical noise, i.e., NOT microphonics.) Google "Blues Junior EL84 tube rattle" in order to see just how widespread this issue is for BJ owners and owners of amps with EL84s. Its back to amps with 6L6s for me. Christ, what a waste of time and money!

  • putz!

  • The salesman did kind of a crappy demo IMO.

  • Can you mic this? HA HA.....

  • Did my boy say 2 34s???...and 15 watts??? (@ 1:33 ?) hmm....Well, it looks kinda cool...It's a Humm(ing) Dinger alright....Wonder what it would sound like thru a 2x12? Now you have NO EXCUSE not to practice 4 hrs a day big Al !

  • the magic is in the EL84's. one of the most musical (shimmering and harmonically rich) tubes ever made. the reason you don't find them in larger amps is because they aren't that powerful. it takes a pair to get 15 Watts RMS (Blues Jr) and a quad of them to drive a Vox AC30 (30 Watts RMS).

  • noisy huh, is there anything to do as far as getting rid of that awful hum?

  • @dyingforastrat it might just be 60 cycle hum stinking single coils haha

  • one more tip, you will never get rid of the hum compleatly as long as you use single coil pickups, there will allways be a little hissing sound there, one way to totally get rid of it is to mount a mini humbucker in the neck, I know it is a very popular thing to do amongst Tele owners, but the down side is you'll end up with a more fat Gibson kinda tone in the neck, there is also some "noiseless" pickups for strat that you could probably use in the bridge position with some minor modification.

  • Drunk camera operator? lol

Great video, I would have loved to hear the other pickup in that Tele...

  • it's not the amp that is buzzing it's the guitar pickups! they are single coils, allways hums more or less

  • @satjathamma should u put a noise suppresor in frony of amp or in effects loop? i know there isnt one on this amp

  • @alexdaman8 definitely infront of the amp, if you use stomp boxes you would wan't it last in the line cus some pedals generate noise too, the loop are just usable for clean effects like delays, flanger, chorus etc, not overdrive or distortion pedals, you could also isolate the cavaty on the guitar, that might help, I think there is a special paint that doesnt lead eletricy you can spray inside, but you gotto remove the electornics first ofcourse:)

  • @satjathamma hi, I use Blues juniors daily and the reason it's humming that loud is because he hold the guitar too close to the amp!! A distance of 1,5 m would be enough.

  • is there any way to get rid of the feedback?

  • nice video!!! jam on bro!!!!

  • listen to that Texas buzz! lmao

  • This guy is incredibly annoying. I can't believe people actually subscribe to this.

  • @fallrightintoplace Gee, do ya think Alan was payed to create a little ad for the store here? Talk about canned-

  • man, that's looks like an awesome guitar shop

  • Is there another Fender Blues Jr. that comes from the factory with the Celestion V30 speaker?

  • This buzzes loads! Is it really worth the money???

  • worth it big time in terms of what it does and it also looks cool

  • @ubad00d The 'buzz' was from the guitar per single-coil pickups. Had he set the selector switch for the pickups in position 2, that would cancel the hum... being that it's using both p/u's at the same time. Plug in a Les Paul or any other guitar with humbuckers and you would have no hum :-)

  • @ubad00d the hum is the pickups, not the amp.

  • texas red is the color of one of the available finishs...not the amp

  • less talk, play!

  • w/ an over drive you can get a good danzig tone (first 3 albums)

  • step back the hum might kill you...you're good player but that was a shitty demo bro...

  • thanks for your kind words;)

  • Skip to 2:41 if you wanna get straight to the playing

  • thank you ^^

  • THANK YOU !

  • Wow! The amp goes from new (0:13) to famous (1:00) in 47 seconds.

  • @BTatinternet LOL! your comment made my day!

  • @BTatinternet seriously funny comment,quickwitt, I love it

  • they just opened a guitar boutique in puerto rico is in guaynabo

  • How much does one of these cost?

  • $500-$550 US is average

  • Thanks for the redirect - I actually bought the amp today - lucky to find one I guess - and I can't say enough good things about it. It is a certainly a sound that works for me.

  • 4:29 ..... awesome

  • Alan, what Telecaster is that used in the video? What exact model? I just searched Fender site and could not see it. Rosewood neck rocks.

  • It looks to me like the Fender American Vintage Series '62 Telecaster Custom. I've had my eye on the surf green one and this is the black one. You can find them at Musician's Friend. I originally posted a link but apparently my post vanished into the ether

  • Thanks, ShipwreckStudios! I live in the UK and will have to do my own search through shops, but narrowing that one down is REALLY helpful.

  • You're welcome! Glad I could help.

  • i like the double bound body

  • Unfortunately I can't get my hands on this amplifier in Australia, but I am considering getting a Blues Junior and replacing the speaker with a Vintage30. How does this amplifier handle pedals.

  • could you hear this over a drum kit?

  • It depends on what kind of sound you want out of it. If you don't mind it sounding gritty (tubes being pushed hard), then you should be able to hear it without a problem.

If you're looking for cleans being heard over a drum set, you might have some difficulty...you'd probably need to be mic'ed.

  • oh hell yea, 15 watt tube is like 70+ circut. that's enought to hear over some drums.

  • From my own experiences playing with a band, it will be a bit dirty over drums, about the same as at 3:50.

  • thanks for posting this video. i was looking for examples of the fender blues junior and this is perfect. i live miles from a guitar store, so i only go when i'm buying something! your ethusiasm is infectious! :-)

  • 1 of how many made?

  • I was told about 800 or so, but I cant verify it.

  • @alanweinkrantz it's 150

  • i dont like that celestion vintage 30 speaker. They should make one with an alnico blue. the bj might blow it though lol

  • wtf you talking about???? he's actually NOT really bad. plus he's just screwing around trying to show the amp's tone. moron

  • on a second look, he's not as bad as i thought, nothing amazing though i don't know how it is in the US but in australia you have to be VERY good to work in a guitar store...and to the guy above, there's no need to call me a moron, I am quite aware that he was trying to show the amps tone. everyone has different opinions...respect mine, i'm not going to go around saying your a moron for liking joe satriani or whoever you listen to

  • I am actually Joe Satriani and as such, I deem you a moron!! :p sorry, I just reacted to your comment which seemed harsh - I'm getting a wee bit tired of hearing so many people trash others when they dont deserve it. if someone posts a video titled "I am the greatest of all time!!!!" or "the next EVH!" and doenst come close then he is asking for it. but something like this - no way. evidently I'm not the only one who didnt care for your comment lol. its all good

  • haha, i wasn't actually trying to trash him i was just surprised. but i really do know what you mean, i expecially hate when people say racist things. for example on a hendrix clip of red house, some asshole said something like 'i'm glad he's dead' and then made a racial slur, i absolutely DESPISE stuff like that

  • Why all the talk?

  • two el-84s ..not el-34s

  • Yup.... just came out recently

  • what music store is this,I see alot of lefty guitars?

  • Hey man...saw you on Good Morning America today!

    Great negotiating skills.

As soon as I saw the Red Texas Fender Amp in the background I knew it was you.

BTW I'm thingking about getting one of those amps so....put some more demos of that Fender amp up.

Let's hear that bad boy...some SRV might be good.

  • Hi.... do I know you? Are you in SanAntonio?

  • i'm gonna get a couple of these!

  • Oh yeah- well I'm going to get like 13 of them, or maybe even more, so there Mr. Show-Off !

  • Comment removed

  • No.... that's great tone.

  • I have a black one. It is great.

  • Yes, it's a goodie

  • o wow this is really recent
