Maybe if an avant garde artist was intrigued with the story and wanted to reinterpret it in another language or another style of music (e.g. rock opera) might this be considered. This doesn't work for me -- no value add.

Andrew, reinventing this mush loved classic tune is foolish. Neither of them are good enough to do justice to the original version let alone trying something new!

如果是因為版權關係，重新撰寫曲詞是無可厚非。但重寫、重唱是浪費時間，新曲詞很難令人接受而取代原來的曲詞，因為唐滌生的版本已經深入民心，三歲小孩也懂得唱。
