The rails you are seeing are the edges of the Quarks... this is the closest approximation of a monorail design I could come up with using basic Uberstix... I think the important point is that you can build monorail track with the same parts that come in any Uberstix kit, and if the edges were filled in, the Monorail would still function exactly as you see it now... also, if you built a life size version of the engine, it would preform well on the monorail track at Disneyland...

This is just my opinion, but I think uberstix look like a terrible toy. You can only build in one direction? That really really limits the things you could build. In fact, the only things you might be able to build ... are skyscrapers and train tracks. The most interesting part of this video is the train, but it's not even made of uberstix. In the end, I think you can be as creative with uberstix as you could building with pennies.
