  • no matter how hard i try to soder shit. it keeps sitting on top like wax on paper and eventually just falls off. soder doesnt stick to anything. use electrician paste. sodering is a bullshit method. never works.

  • Ok. Instead of posting pics im going to describe the order to solder wires. First the side of the box towards the headset. Open box up. Looking at it with wheels on the left, and headset connections on the bottom, the order from left to right is green, gold, red, red withstripes, then green with stripes. The connections on the top which go to the x box are left to right, all the gold ones, green, red, blue above the red, then green stripe. Hope that makes sense.

  • @j2thet123 I attempted resoldering the wires in the order you listed, green, gold, red, red with stripes, then green with stripes and all i could get was faint static. I reversed the pattern just for $hits and giggles and got the same result. On my box right above the solder points i had letters indicating the order but some of the letters have faded, could you possibly list your circuit boards letters so that i could attempt to match mine?

  • @MsLycanblood Check the connections if u have soldered them already. Hopefully u didn't heat up the board too much. Thats all i got sorry.

  • @jayholley123 Where can i post pics?

  • @j2thet123 mine wasn't below the volume control, it's in the actual headset spot inside the actual earphones, I already soldered the left ear with the microphone but the left headphone is refusing to work and I don't know why, any helpful tips?

  • I have pictures but i dont know where to post them.

  • I am having trouble with the wires between volume control box to the headset. Can anyone tell me in which order to solder the wires? I diagram would be much helpful???

  • I need help please. My turtle beach HPA2 headset's sound is being werid. The right ear cup is fine, but the left has no sound comming out of it. I have to move the wire then hold it there for the sound to come out.

    Any ideas please?

    Thank you in advance.

  • how do you connect the wires to the chip

  • @MrGswagg8 Solder them.

  • We should Skype so you can tell me what I'm doing wrong I wanna fix mine really bad lol

  • so i tore the wires out of the placers and i need to find out where they go

  • OR buy a new one:)

  • Could you post up a picture of the diagram on the description please?

  • Nice detail on the repair, but there is something important you over-looked. That 'stuff', as you kept referring to it, wrapped around each of the wires is called a Braided Shield and is basically insulating the wires carrying the signals from outside interference (noise) and if not used will eventually lead to squeal or pop sounds. It's usually protected beneath another rubber sheath (which may testify quality) but dispels any signal carried at a common ground.(where you desoldered & untwisted)

  • @bigomoe For any wires that are left original length, yes they will be missing a section of braided shield. It is not a very noticeable difference. If you want to fix that you can cut and solder all the wires.

  • niiiiceee u stole this video

  • @pfcskater how did i steal the video?

  • @pfcskater explain how and why you think i stole the vid genius.

  • I need the color order please help.

  • can you please name off where the wire colours go? you diagram is blurry and thats my whole problem idk where to connect them to the chip

  • @bill31194 i will post a picture.

  • @j2thet123 can you please, I seem to have gotten one side to work. And my friends can hear what I'm playing through the mic, apparently it gets louder as I turn it down also.

  • @j2thet123 i would also appreciate a picture, i am trying to re-solder the other set of wires that are going from the circuit board to the headphones and im not sure what wires go where.

  • the wires on the other side of the controll panel broke....can you tell me how to fix it please?

  • can you please take a picture of the circuit board with all the wires attached because mines broken on the otherside and with your camera its extremely hard to tell the order

  • @xDynasty96 I will post a picture

  • @j2thet123 yeah same could u take a pic of the volume one ???

  • I've only got sound coming out the right side

I think it's a dodgy connection in the box

I'm goin to open it up n look

  • Hey, could you help? I accidently pulled the wires out of the left speaker, I've tried unscrewing the side to have a look and there are 4 solder lines. The wires have been pulled out of them. Any advise?

  • my problem is above the volume control box. i spliced the wires together individually and it didnt work. Its freaking 5 hours and 40 minutes untill MW3 comes out and i cant play without them. got any ideas for me?

  • what if its only playing through one side and the mics not working??

  • Nice vid. Can I strip the wire ABOVE the volume box and repair? That seems to be where my short is.

  • i tried this on my px21 but on the side with the actual headset and no sound comes out

  • Messed up the soldering then fixed it....I accidentally soldered 2 resistors together and now its like 3 times as loud

  • damn the soldering part is hard !

  • hell yeah it worked thanks bro!!

  • how do u take out the circuit board from the volume control box?

  • turtle beach px21 left ear not working can someone guide or help me ? :/

  • dude you're the man i accidently ripped the wires that go to the volume controls and tried to fix it but I didnt know where the wires went. your vid helped me out right when i was about to give up. Thanks for the vid.

  • its also cut above the box so ya.... idk if the blue wire is insulated or not it dont seem to be but just splicing it dont seem to help

  • ok so my cat also chewed through my headset...in a few different places so i went to the worse looking spot and stripped the main coating...there was a blue wire that was hardly connected...so i figure its that one sounds comes out of the right one and not the left so is that the problem?

  • Thanks for the instructions, I was actually thinking about buying another X11 or X12 headset, but now I have hope before all the game releases coming in the next few months. I have a basic Xbox headset to get me by, but once you hear through a turtle beach there is no going back.

    FFB DeathOmen

  • i hear a dog drinking water :D

  • hahah this was posted the day after my birthday. Anyways, on the green thing the blue wire is not attached to the green box. And my turtle beaches wont even turn on. Got any ideas?

  • Can u pay to get the main wire fixed? Not the one that u can disconnect but the main one?

  • @bearbooty101 yeah i just opend my px21s your mic wire is in mine the white wire wrapped by copper look at the circit board for the white wire and follow it you should see it

  • Hey was wondering the left ear piece of my X11 pretty much ripped off the wires for them are exposed. Do I just twist them back together and put some electric tape over them or do I have to put them together and then solder them back together?

  • Comment removed

  • @iiiTsJunKie So you just spiced the wires? Just wondering because my dog chewed through mine about 12 inches from the usb, so there is know way I can solder them like in this video!

  • You sir saved me £50 english, my cat chewed through the cable and I thought I was going to have to buy other (currently over drawn in bank) so it was either wait.... or fix the damn thing!!! well it worked and THANK YOU SOO MUCH

  • The think copper wire is made by stripping the copper wrap covering the individual coloured wires (shown in the video) then twisted together to make a 5th wire

  • I just fixed mine €50 you saved me!!! My kitten chewed through the wire. Thank you very much!

  • I NEED HELP. I see all the wires but what is that thick one? like the one thats all copper wire?? HELP!!

  • @FinneFx the thick cable is made up by stripping back the copper wrapped around the individual colour wires then twisting it all together (as shown in the video) this creates the 5th wire!

  • is there anyway to fix it with out cutting too much of the cable

  • @srgtrubbaaducky you could buy some thin wire from maplins or radio shack or any other hobby shop then solder the new wire to each of the original wires to "BRIDGE the gap"

  • Worked! Thx bro!

  • thanks

  • would this work for a turtle beach earfore px21? or any other headset/wires for that matter.

  • i have a question what if i can hear but i cant talk how do you fix that and my chord wasnt cut

  • OMFG!! they broke maybe cuz you blasted them repeatedly!! they tell you when you first got em to not turn the volume all the way up, this might cause damage to both your ears and your headsets ... even your Tv this same effect applies. with all them explosions and gunsounds and bombs at max volume, your speaker blew out, not becuse they're bad headsets, its cuz you treat em like shit. Never touch the bass boast, expander, and always keep your voice lower than gameplay. DONE!!

  • I'm not sure about how to fix mine and where the problem resides. I can't hear out of one of my headsets (The right side) and I have a PX21. The left one works fine and I can still chat with people. I'm just wondering whther to check the headset itself or if the problem resides within a chord, though I doubt it because there's only one that intertwines and only goes into the left Ear Cup.

  • My problem is that for my turtle beach x31's I have to keep moving the chord by twisting it and such until i can get it to let me talk and hear the voices of other people. It is very weird because the cable looks perfectly fine not damaged but could probably be twisted but idk... HELP?

  • My problem is that for my turtle beach x31's I have to keep moving the chord by twisting it and such until i can get it to let me talk and hear the voices of other people...

  • hey, my wire isn't cut, but my right ear piece isn't letting sounds go through. Sometimes if i mess with the wire that goes into my headset, the sound will comeback but as soon as the wire moves again the sound goes away. My left earpiece still works, and its not cut anywhere. Would you know how to fix it?

  • mine is cut above the volume box what is the order the wires go

  • i got it working but the right speaker on the head set wont work theres no sound coming out the left side works i looked at the wires on the right one and there all connected dont know why it wont work plz help thx

  • were does the blue and green wire go my blue one and green one came off

  • hey my cord is cut under the volume control. I just need to splice the wires back together. I have tried a few times with no success. Do you have any idea how to do it. I tried twisting cables back together by color code, and taping it back up that didnt work.

  • Looks like you will have to solder which ever wires are cut. Solder it/them to the volume control box. Same thing I did but for u it's the other side of the box.

  • can I get some help im confused!! My turtle beaches rubber layer that covers the wire got torn and over time the wires got fucked. It just broke today and by the looks of it the stripped blue wire is the one thats damages. There is no sound coming from the left earpiece but sound from the right one. Any advice on what i can do?!

  • @MrNoyzee i have the same problem, have stripped all wires and cut like two feet from amp i plan to resolder but i need a new solder so hope it works will post video.

  • @MrNoyzee where is it damaged? at the headset, the volume control, or lower?

  • @j2thet123 its damaged in between the headset and the volume control

  • @j2thet123 Hey how far down do i have to cut to take off the extra wire ?

  • Same her but i got pissed n said fuck it then i gladly ripped it off

  • @iiiTsJunKie

No problem man. Glad it worked!

  • @j2thet123 could i mail u fine to fix :D id probly jus make mine explode
