The "marraccas" were "home made" &their material was 100% plastic but on my LOGO ANIMATION you can listen to real Marraccas (though cheap ones).

Ich mache Animationen,die finde ich wichtiger als mein Gesicht,die Musik ist ebenfalls wichtiger.Das ist die Einstellung,aber ich fühle mich geschmeichelt,dass auch jemand an der Person interessiert ist:Ich verfolge keine Strategie der Geheimhaltung meines Gesichtes,aber es muss schon 1 Sinn ergeben es zu zeigen.Möglich,dass ich später Wortbeiträge mache,z.Z. aber nicht

Überhaupt ein sehr schöner Bluescartoon :-) super. Ich habe ihn bereits in einer meiner vielen verschiedenen Playlisten aufgenommen und muss nicht lange danach suchen um ihn mir anzuschauen. Thanks for your great compliment.No loops at all.The vintage sound results as part of the use of the combo of echo&reverb-which is-ironical-digital:-)& the upright bass.The tremolo-sound (a 20Euro-Effekt device from Behringer) of the rhythm-guitar adds vintage-feeling,too.I also used the crybabywah as some kind of equalizer&amplified the guitars over an old Ampeg bass amplifier.

I recorded on the pc with the free software AUDACITY. I used a metronome. Then I played first guitar & then bass & then harp one after another.

After that I re-recorded guitar, then Bass, then Bluesharp to have the opportunity to react on every instrument& create a kind of "live" situation. After that I added home made "marracas" to the recording and tried to "play" a very simple drum pattern.Then I made a 2 weeks pause and mixed it within 2 days.

Yes, very long - some hundred hours (and this is really no joke).

The song is a modified version of the C&W song GREEN GREEN GRASS OF HOME from the 60's.

If you listen closely you can still recognize it (if you have a lot of fantasy) - especially in the 1st chorus.

I also mixed a little Modern Jazz Quartett into it, Billy Boy's I WISH YOU WOULD and Bo's PRETTY THING. All that songs inspired me for this particular tune.

Pick up a copy of the Criterion version of Charade....my favorite combo of music and visuals in the titles...raises the hairs on your head...especially when they just begin.....Saul Bass did the titles, I believe. Mancini did the music. So hip...
