@rhinosfan09 i disagree i think its a good tactic as in an average rugby match league or union the majority of the points are scored 10 minutes before half time and 10 minutes before final whistle as all the players are getting tired so when burow comes on he then just ducks under lazy attemps to takle and scores as hes not tired like all the rest of players which is exactly what he did in this game and the warrington game.

Also, the makinson try was a definite try. Such a great effort to flick the ball in the air, making sure it's not touching Webb as he goes over the dead ball line and then to ground it, one of the best young players we've got. Shenton's injury definately changed the match though, Leeds destroyed us down that side after he went off.

Also, just out of interest does anyone know what the music being played in the background was for the Dixon and Makinson video ref decisions??

was an absolutely crushing defeat, but one of the best grand finals of all time, probably only the 2002 grand final was better in terms of entertainment. The saints v leeds finals have such simalrity to the saints v bradford finals of the 90's/00's. We just can't beat leeds in a final :( . We won the first 4 grand finals we were in and have lost the last 5, hopefully our luck will change back.

I wasn't able to get to the game and only saw the last 10 minutes live. The more I watch Rob Burrow's performance the more I am impressed. What a player. Brilliant. Lucky you lot who were there.

I was there, as a Saints fan obviously I was gutted.. The scoreline was completely unjust and I honestly believe the game would of ended different had Shenton not gone off injured. But fair play to Leeds they were too good in the end. Brilliant try by Tommy Makinson, felt so sorry for him at the end

i really thought saints would've done it this year especially with james graham leaving for australia, but the injuries in this match cost them dearly in the end (especially with shenton going off), because they've played really well all year with the young players
