  • I Really Like The Video From Your Jupiters new scar has been photographed by the Hubble Space Telescope. The huge mark was left when a comet or asteroid plowed into the planet.

  • Your Video Is Very Useful Sharing Jupiters new scar has been photographed by the Hubble Space Telescope. The huge mark was left when a comet or asteroid plowed into the planet.

  • omg that was a meteor blocked by jupiter if that missed we would be dead by now

  • Rev chapter 6 the 6th seal, earth will be hit by comets, we've seen that other plants have and can be hit soon earth will in the day of tribulation

  • how an asteroid can impact jupiter... i mean it is made of gas

  • thumbs up. if dont care

  • i think that scar is a violent storm that contains strong winds

  • @charmagne121 it's possible. thanks :)

  • @charmagne121 You pubic's carry strong wind...

  • bad pixels>.>

  • WTF DUDE N DUDETTE'S

  • Brought chills on my arm, and my hair raised. Not because of the meteorite, but knowing that I was actually looking into part of that dense gas atmosphere that is so dense it is blacker than black. Just eerie. Just think, look how black it was, even with the meteor lighting things up, and that was a large meteor.

  • @TitaniumByFire i know, awesome stuff! cheers :)

  • This music is from "Blade Runner".

  • @wrght9185 yes, i love that movie. :) thanks for watching!

  • i would hate to think what damage would occur on Earth if this happened to us. It would clearly be an 'extinction level' even. The Jovian atmosphere is mainly gas, lord know how deep this impact went. How could we even stop something like this? It's a pity to think that something like this might bring humanity together, provided we had enough time to deal with it. I just pray that NASA has kept up the funding to track and map space 'debris' of this nature. Thanks for posting

  • @chewie211171 thanks for watching :)

  • AWESOME!

  • @galacticwacko thanks :)

  • This impact was first viewed bya a amateur astronomer. The photo was taken by that person, not NASA. This person notified NASA about the impact. LOL, NASA had no clue. This object that hit Jupiter, NASA said it was the size of Earth. So now we know that there are objects out there the size of Earth. Great.

  • @SkyIGR100 yep. cheers :)

  • @SkyIGR100 the object (probably a comet) is estimated to be around 1km across. Hardly the size of earth now isn't it.

  • @ocauTMM. LOL, you must be joking right. NASA said, & view the impact it left. It's not one km across. That impact could fit the Earth inside it. NASA has even said that dame thing. So stop wasting my time. Comment to someone else.

  • @SkyIGR100 No, you said "This object that hit Jupiter, NASA said it was the size of Earth", the object that hit was ~1km across, sure the patch is much larger, but the object itself was only small. The same object is of less concern to earth because it has a far smaller chance of colliding in the first place because the earth is much smaller then jupiter, and if it did a significant chunk of it would burn up in the atmosphere and there is even the likelyhood of it breaking up into smaller pieces

  • @ocauTMM. Before you comment on something do some research. This is part of a article. Without having seen it, scientists can't tell how large the object was. "But the impact scar we're seeing is about the same size as one of Jupiter's big storms, Oval BA, Fletcher told New Scientist. "That, I believe, is about the size of the Earth." Plenty more where this came from. So please stop wasting my time.

"And can we measure the size of blackholes by measuring the lensing effect.?"

Hey do I look like Im an astrophysicist.

  • If that hit us it would be one and all just plain curtains for us all! Get a good night sleep now if you can! Space is one large unknown we have no idea what may be hurtling towards us until its too late to do something about it. Maybe?

I guess the scar as cleared up by now. Damn I could have took my telescope outside for quick peek.

  • thanks

  • I hope you, wasn't dwelling on it all night, thou I kinder stroke my cat, as he doesn't know about where he is or what is out there except he does have instincts senses that alerts him of dangers. We have to rely on what information astronomers can give us whether its good news or bad news. WTF am I talking about? LOL

  • This is the 5th time Ive watched it now and the 2nd time I voted it, 5stars.

I think there are black holes out in space bigger than Jupiter, well of course! Also suns stars larger than our own. The mind boggles

  • And can we measure the size of blackholes by measuring the lensing effect.?

  • cats rule, i've got 2 :)

  • Personally I think there lazy buggers! They cat nap nearly 18 hours of the day. Lazy buggers. I only have one indoor cat one is enough as he goes nuts sometimes running around and jumping and playing with him to keep him on his paws! lol

I wonder if it was single hit or multiple hits on the same part of Jupiter?

  • As long as it doesn't knock over my bong, I'm cool with it.

  • well jupiter have saved many times, i hope nothing big hits jupiter and makes it explode it must be very big before it blow up ofc but ty the enourmes gravity jupiter or we would be screwed along time ago :P

  • yep jupiter is pretty useful :) cheers

  • dude jupiters a beast. it would take something 1/2 a size of jupiter to fuck it up.

  • thanks for watching :)

  • is that the music from Blade Runner? :P

  • yes, one of my all-time fave movies :)

  • good choice :)

  • brutal. if that had hit us, we'd all be screwed.

  • good morning, and yes we would :)

  • morning ! ^^

  • The best current information. thanks kiuhy8.

    Saludos Amigo.

  • thanks amigo :)

  • As always - thanks for sharing. :)

  • and as always you're most welcome :)

  • cool

  • thanks bro :)

  • We would have been long gone, if there was no Jupiter.

  • you're right. cheers :)
