ok here goes, Halo was the first, first person shooter besides 007 to hit consoles and make a mark. With Halo 2 Micro$oft brought p.c style competition to consoles even though rainbow six already had xbox live going strong. (Halo 2 is the reason most people even know what xbox live is) Halo 3 was just a better looking Halo 2. Halo reach is trying to speed up the slow and boring multi-player because people are used to games like Gears and COD now.

I hope it's good though, halo 3 was great but I was kind of disappointed with it. I like the single player but this might sound stupid but it almost seems like they just tried too hard with the multiplayer.. i much preferred them multiplayer on halo 2 compared to halo 3.

For everyone here that does not already know, bungie made a statement that they will not be making another halo game, however, they then said that that does not mean 343 studios (or whatever their new name is) won't be making a new halo. Long story short, expect halo 4, just not under the name Bungie, but under 343 studios.

It's reach he landed on. I saw his crashed pelican half at the end of halo reach. It was laying around where my smashed helmet was. So chief is alive. Case closed.

It's still there. For all we know He's floating back onto the planet he once fought at in the events of halo reach.

@CarolloJustin dude master chief doesnt crash land in reach, if you play lone wolf and see the cutscene and after you die and it shows the helmet when halsey isn't talking and you look to the right, the "crashed ship" is still there and that is right after the chief left so you are wrong
yeah there's a master chief not what you were hopping for but in the end when the pillar of autumn takes off it shows the chamber inside real fast and it shows master chief in it, you would have to pause it to see but not what we were hopping for

I believe, in order the halo storyboard goes: reach - halo CE - halo 2 - halo 3 until the ark mission - halo 3 ODST - halo 3 from the ark mission - or atleast thats what i think although there are faults with my theory.
the planet at the end was not reach as it was destroyed. thats why the covenant began to attack earth, reach was in their way and after it fell the opening cutscene for halo CE starts. they had escaped reach just in time, i believe. unless forward unto dawn travelled time (i doubt it) as a result of the portals closure then that planet cannot be reach. ofcouse, i didnt write the halo campaign storyboard, this is just my opinion. in order, the halo storyboard goes: reach - halo CE - halo 2 - hal
@parcusman123 Reach was destroyed, but not in full. If you read Fall of Reach, you'll notice that pockets survived the glassing (so that the Covenant could excavate Forerunner artifacts, but w/e). Also, the end of Halo Reach shows the mountain in the beginning (w/ the helmet) in flames. However, just afterwords, it shows the mountain perfectly green again, w/ the same helmet , w/ Halsey narrating about 'rebuilding Reach' or somethin. So yeah, Reach wasn't completely destroyed. (see next post)

*spoiler* It's Reach after it recovered from the intence rapage it recieved from the Covenant. Onyx got destroyed at the end of Ghosts of Onyx by the Forerunners. Only option for an epic deja vu? Reach.
@Predatory1011 Actually its not. We arent sure what it is. Yes Reach is coming out this next month actually in like 3 weeks. But if you have followed up on the entire series and trailers Reach actually takes place even before the original Halo. So if anything Activision will end up making Halo 4 since as far as we know bungie has signed the contract over to Activision. We are promised either 3 or 4 more Halo games :)

i dont get it if halo reach is the very last one but John A.K.A masterchief is still alive obviously they havnt finished the halo franchise i mean they didnt mention him in halo reach and from my expirience of gaming whenever the main character is still alive they always make another one. Very wierd if u ask me they went into halo 4 and talked about the spartan extermination but what ever happend to cortana and Masterchief?

you give cortana to captain hayes at the end of reach. then pillar of autum leaves reach. then goes to the first halo ring. the start of halo 1

For everyone here that does not already know, bungie made a statement that they will not be making another halo game, however, they then said that that does not mean 343 studios (or whatever their new name is) won't be making a new halo. Long story short, expect halo 4, just not under the name Bungie, but under 343 studios.

well tbh i think there realy milking the halo game dry...BUT, my theory to any reach player is listen very closely at the end of its campain cos cortana says we begun to rebuild now either master chief gets a masters degree in building or he wipes the rest of the remaining covies off reach but like most people are saying could be any planet cud even be earth (fat chance like) but it could....

well, i have a ligit thing to say. because we have seen this scene, there is no absolute answer of how master chief will return in halo 4 which lots of people believe is inevitably not going to happen. but there is also the chance, that halo 4 will be made due to this. and the planet he landed on, well... we cant make a complete decision on that one. but none the less, there is just that small chance that halo 4 may be made.

Who thinks its the forerunner homeworld and if you've seen halo legends then you'll have seen the one flood spore coming out of a helmet and remember what cortana said even if one flood spore survives everything dies

It's reach he landed on. I saw his crashed pelican half at the end of halo reach. It was laying around where my smashed helmet was. So chief is alive. Case closed.

@shaddow1551 yes the chief i alive, but if you look back when everything wasn't glassed and the helmet is in the ground, at the end or the beginning of the game when it looks like everything is burning, and you look to the right, there was already a crashed ship and that is right after the chief left reach so you failed

@pumpkinq123 The events that happen on reach occurred a long time before halo 3. There is no way that Master Chief is landing on reach at that time. That would be cool but it is not so.

@LeftBehind117 although it is possible that he could be landing on reach. He could be landing anywhere for all we know. All the humans on reach were taken out, but not the planet. It still exists. It's still there. For all we know He's floating back onto the planet he once fought at in the events of halo reach.
and yes yes. I know halo reach happened BEFORE halo 1, 2, and 3, but it still doesn't make this planet impossible to be reach.
He could be anywhere. exciting to think of though ;P

The planet at the end is REACH. In the trailer for halo reach it dose the sun come over the edge of the planet just like in HALO 3 so he probably crashes to Reach at the end of halo reach! OMG

@CarolloJustin dude master chief doesnt crash land in reach, if you play lone wolf and see the cutscene and after you die and it shows the helmet when halsey isn't talking and you look to the right, the "crashed ship" is still there and that is right after the chief left so you are wrong

yeah there's a master chief not what you were hopping for but in the end when the pillar of autumn takes off it shows the chamber inside real fast and it shows master chief in it, you would have to pause it to see but not what we were hopping for

I dont care whether you care or not but I have spent weeks going through videos and articles and i can say without a doubt that planet is one that has never been given a name and will probably never get one. if it was onyx or reach the humans woulld have been on the ark a long time ago. now that i think about it, it could very well be the forerunner planet shown in the halo legends episode "origins"

@jaimemilio onyx's surface was destroyed and only the core of it is left, and it probably isn't reach because it doesn't even look like reach and it has a bunch of glowing signs on the surface

I believe, in order the halo storyboard goes: reach - halo CE - halo 2 - halo 3 until the ark mission - halo 3 ODST - halo 3 from the ark mission - or atleast thats what i think although there are faults with my theory.

the planet at the end was not reach as it was destroyed. thats why the covenant began to attack earth, reach was in their way and after it fell the opening cutscene for halo CE starts. they had escaped reach just in time, i believe. unless forward unto dawn travelled time (i doubt it) as a result of the portals closure then that planet cannot be reach. ofcouse, i didnt write the halo campaign storyboard, this is just my opinion. in order, the halo storyboard goes: reach - halo CE - halo 2 - hal

@parcusman123 Reach was destroyed, but not in full. If you read Fall of Reach, you'll notice that pockets survived the glassing (so that the Covenant could excavate Forerunner artifacts, but w/e). Also, the end of Halo Reach shows the mountain in the beginning (w/ the helmet) in flames. However, just afterwords, it shows the mountain perfectly green again, w/ the same helmet , w/ Halsey narrating about 'rebuilding Reach' or somethin. So yeah, Reach wasn't completely destroyed. (see next post)

@parcusman123 Also, if you saw the beginning of Reach (from the campaign trailer) you'll see the sun coming up in the same fashion as the sunrise on the mystery planet. Coincidence? Bungie doesn't do those.
Also, the timeline is (books and games) Contact Harvest (b) - Halo Wars(g)/The Cole Protocol(b) (around the same time) - Fall of Reach (b)/Halo: Reach(g) - HCE(g)/The Flood (b) - First Strike(b) - Ghosts of Onyx(b)/Halo 2(g) (simultaneous) - Halo 3: ODST - Halo 3

*spoiler* It's Reach after it recovered from the intence rapage it recieved from the Covenant. Onyx got destroyed at the end of Ghosts of Onyx by the Forerunners. Only option for an epic deja vu? Reach.

@Predatory1011 Actually its not. We arent sure what it is. Yes Reach is coming out this next month actually in like 3 weeks. But if you have followed up on the entire series and trailers Reach actually takes place even before the original Halo. So if anything Activision will end up making Halo 4 since as far as we know bungie has signed the contract over to Activision. We are promised either 3 or 4 more Halo games :)

@1strawman22 read the book. its completely forrunner. it was designed so that the guy who acxtivated halo didn't have to die. after kurt blow a couple shivas to take out some covies some of the forrunner architecture was exposed through the forest

i know its not reach but it needs to be mean wouldn't that be awesome if the new number 6 was still alive cause in the game the covenant don't completely destroy the planet and then at the secret end of halo reach the new number 6 s still fighting covenant after 20 years( less) and master cheifs ship crashes on reach so in the next game they fight the covenant by themselves oh and in the game there are15 prophets and every 2 levels you kill one phophet only when you kill all you can go home
