@LiamusShakirus I'm actually not sure if it was feasible at all to march a perfect straight leg. At least in Metamora it was after some rain. Similar grass, only slick.

I have a question. So what exactly is different about TOC? Like do they warm up on the field? And don't they have all the corps play at the end or something? Thanks!

@theaws0m3guy I was at the show and all 8 corps do this:
Do their performance, then have a quick encore piece or two after their show while the other corps comes over.
During intermission, they have a game on the field for kids
After the last corps peforms (for Rockford, it was Cadets) all the corps come back to the field for a mass performance of a piece or two then they have fan voting and real scores announced afterwards.
