@Allabaster84 Batman is lawful good and he breaks minor laws all the time. Lawful Good rogues don't mind breaking minor and/or unjust laws for the greater good.
@MasterrangerABR Actually, Batman would be Chaotic Good, not Lawful, because he operates outside the bounds of the law all the bloody time. I mean, have you actually looked at how Batman operates? There's a friggin reason the Orange Lantern Corp offered him a ring, and it sure as hell isn't because he's Captain America. Of course, when he said no, the ring was passed off to the Scarecrow, which really tells ya all ya need to know about the Orange Lanterns.
@Allabaster84 Two things: 1 batman follows a strict code, lawful good does not mean they follow every law, but the have a code they live by. 2 it's the sinestro corp, not the orange orange let lex Luther in not scarecrow. yellow/sinestro= fear, orange= greed/avarice, and there is only one orange lantern AKA agent orange or lafreese
I wasn't playing DnD (today, that's Mondays!), but playing Pokemon tabletop my GM decided to split the party, sending me and our guy who'd just joined outside to a separate battle. We all survived, some barely. Me and the newer guy ended up taking no damage, and got more xp. I kept singing this song. xD I was one up the people sent up because I'd spent a while in jail (And joined a tiny bit late in the campaign) and so I was a level lower than the others.
In the last campaign I played, we ended up splitting the party by accident, leaving my wizard lost all by himself in the capital city.
By the time the others found me, I had rooted out the evil shapeshifter we were looking for, uncovered the master behind his evil plot, and declared myself king.
Meanwhile, the rogue had gotten drunk and stolen his own pants.
When splitting the party, never leave the guy with 18 INT unattended. He will make you look bad.
Not only has my party not learned to keep the thief in sight (me), but they only know about one language between them besides me, so I get lots of goodies. We also have a no-meta gaming rule, so they can do nothing about it. I love being the thief. :)
One big lesson my DM learned: never give the fighter with a natural str of 19 (me) a vorpol great sword. got called the team killing fucktard for a while.
bieng a rouge is fun but you never get anything near privace. i mean how on earth are you going to put back the mages spell book you wanted to read if no one leaves you alone, or the rangers nice bow that you wanted to make sure no one could steal
The last time our party split up, it was a necessary evil to keep our drow fighter/sorcerer, our half-drow monk of doom and our elven rogue from murdering our wizard after the damn light spell...those fuckers hurt when you're using infravision!
I usually play a fighter in my groups, so we don't need a thief. an orc great axe does enough damage to a treasure chest to break it open, and the dumb orc (me!) has enough life to take the traps hidden within.
and all for a pint of ale. my character is such an easy mark.
Recently played a campaign where the fighter and cleric split with the wizard and thief (me XD). We met in a dark room and had illusions cast on us so we looked liked monsters. We basically obliterated each other until the wizard was wondering why the frost giant was dodging like a ninja XD
Yah, I still remember my first party split, the mage and archer were looking around upstairs in a mansion while me as a Draconic pally, the dwarf berzerker, and another mage were looking at bodies downstairs. Mage and archer get attacked and I'm the first one to their aid...accidentally tripped over the mage and accidentally hit the archer. My bad guys.
wow, this gave me the ingeneous idea to use lego figurines as dungeons and dragons minis. those dang minis cost a fortune for starting players like me.
My GM, uses this for everything. were playing shadowrun and champions. haha ohh so true , never split the party. I am a multi form fighter, and i had to go save our speedster at least a mile away fomr everyone. i got stomped
Hehe...reminds me of my group...except they can't stop the thief (me!) even when they try...my rolls are always better than theirs, on top of the million stealth bonuses! This song is by far one of my favorites!
One of the funniest things that happened to my party, for the two years I played D&D what when the cleric spent a while dancing in the nude in a pocket dimension and came back... without picking up his equipment. or armour. or underwear.
i'm always the mage. i'm a squishy. i've learned the hard way. never walk out of sight range of the palidins(fighters). and don't let the theif out of sight! seriously, you think after dying, like, four times in one week would of taught him...
isn't that true. my first d&d adventure was like this, except it was never let that fighter out of sight! he got in more trouble than that theif in the video! (good job with it, by the way.) ;)
Sorry for the double post, but I have to say that this is really well done and the song sticks in your mind and has a Save Throw check of 45 to go away :P
In my party, I was the character that got roasted. I was a dwarven barbarian/ranger soon to be going into bear warrior. I was also the only melee oriented character there and my AC was 18. As a defense, I dealt crap metric tonnes of damage
One of the few times I've been glad to fail an attack roll was when I found out afterward that, had the spell succeeded, it would have got three of my party members in the blast. Oops. XD The moral of the story: differentiate between "enemies" and "creatures."
You've just left town, dreams of grand treasures dancing about in your head.
The dungeon crawl that's going to make you oh so rich is just two days ride to the north. You're so excited.
Four days later: You're lost in the wilderness, you've been ambushed seventeen times, and the rogue stole all of your gear in the middle of the night. Oh, if only you had a ranger to save you!
Fortunately, you do have your rouge, so at least you can die looking pretty.
OMG!!! That was so freaking awesome. I had a party split on me once. Then they ran into each other in a dark room and nearly killed each other. Good times. XD
"Alright! Who had the damn lobster bisque?" Pure genious!! And whoever came up with "Now Serving Number 42" knows the pain of being a cleric. Too, too funny.
Can anyone tell me what the chords are for this song? My friends always start each session with this, and I would love to accompany them on my guitar.

Cool I really like it. I swear if I hed the money I'd buy the Con Suite album, but poor people in debt can't do much really. Keep up the good work and you guys rock!
In a dark fantasy D&D game I'm running, the party split up... so that the two mages went on their own and ended up being cornered in a prison-like area fighting for their lives. One mage desperately tried to keep the swarm of enemies at bay with spells; the other panicked and magically locked himself inside one of the cells. Were it not for the miraculous, untimely arrival of the others, comical and violent annihilation would have been imminent. I thought of this song. :D
I like to split parties, but I'm nicer about it; usually the party split serves two objectives which need to be handled simultaneously, and I don't punish the players for splitting up.
