  • @Allabaster84 Batman is lawful good and he breaks minor laws all the time. Lawful Good rogues don't mind breaking minor and/or unjust laws for the greater good.

  • @MasterrangerABR Actually, Batman would be Chaotic Good, not Lawful, because he operates outside the bounds of the law all the bloody time. I mean, have you actually looked at how Batman operates? There's a friggin reason the Orange Lantern Corp offered him a ring, and it sure as hell isn't because he's Captain America. Of course, when he said no, the ring was passed off to the Scarecrow, which really tells ya all ya need to know about the Orange Lanterns.

  • @Allabaster84 Two things: 1 batman follows a strict code, lawful good does not mean they follow every law, but the have a code they live by. 2 it's the sinestro corp, not the orange orange let lex Luther in not scarecrow. yellow/sinestro= fear, orange= greed/avarice, and there is only one orange lantern AKA agent orange or lafreese

  • ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!

  • I wasn't playing DnD (today, that's Mondays!), but playing Pokemon tabletop my GM decided to split the party, sending me and our guy who'd just joined outside to a separate battle. We all survived, some barely. Me and the newer guy ended up taking no damage, and got more xp. I kept singing this song. xD I was one up the people sent up because I'd spent a while in jail (And joined a tiny bit late in the campaign) and so I was a level lower than the others.

  • In the last campaign I played, we ended up splitting the party by accident, leaving my wizard lost all by himself in the capital city.

By the time the others found me, I had rooted out the evil shapeshifter we were looking for, uncovered the master behind his evil plot, and declared myself king.

Meanwhile, the rogue had gotten drunk and stolen his own pants.

When splitting the party, never leave the guy with 18 INT unattended. He will make you look bad.

  • My DnD group has an obese centuar in it named Jesus, with infinity squared lbs as his weight.....

  • I'm totallyoing to play this for everyone in my campaign tomorrow at DnD Club~

  • Damn thieves! Why are there never good thieves? Aladdin was a lawful thief

  • @Treeford93 No he wasn't. He broke the law all the damned time! At best he's Chaotic Good.

  • I think I speak on behalf of all Thieves when I say, this song is offensive!

    Its true but its offensive!!!

    hahaha.

  • It's a running gag in our games that there is, in fact, a gnomish god who's sole portfolio is punishing adventurers who split their parties.

  • Not only has my party not learned to keep the thief in sight (me), but they only know about one language between them besides me, so I get lots of goodies. We also have a no-meta gaming rule, so they can do nothing about it. I love being the thief. :)

  • is it just me or does transcribe audio make this even funnier

  • Its me or he said barbecue at 2:33?

  • Comment removed

  • I want the lyrics!!!

  • Sadly I have toasted a fighter with a fireball because they were too close to the baddie

  • One big lesson my DM learned: never give the fighter with a natural str of 19 (me) a vorpol great sword. got called the team killing fucktard for a while.

  • bieng a rouge is fun but you never get anything near privace. i mean how on earth are you going to put back the mages spell book you wanted to read if no one leaves you alone, or the rangers nice bow that you wanted to make sure no one could steal

  • The last time our party split up, it was a necessary evil to keep our drow fighter/sorcerer, our half-drow monk of doom and our elven rogue from murdering our wizard after the damn light spell...those fuckers hurt when you're using infravision!

  • We always try to keep at least one other party member with our Rogue or Rogue-y cleric. XD Doesn't always work.

  • I usually play a fighter in my groups, so we don't need a thief. an orc great axe does enough damage to a treasure chest to break it open, and the dumb orc (me!) has enough life to take the traps hidden within.

and all for a pint of ale. my character is such an easy mark.

  • So, a level on cleric and level one bard split up from the rest of the part and go explore the cellar alone. This turned out to be a bad plan.

  • Recently played a campaign where the fighter and cleric split with the wizard and thief (me XD). We met in a dark room and had illusions cast on us so we looked liked monsters. We basically obliterated each other until the wizard was wondering why the frost giant was dodging like a ninja XD

  • Yah, I still remember my first party split, the mage and archer were looking around upstairs in a mansion while me as a Draconic pally, the dwarf berzerker, and another mage were looking at bodies downstairs. Mage and archer get attacked and I'm the first one to their aid...accidentally tripped over the mage and accidentally hit the archer. My bad guys.

  • veeery nice - 'me like - me like like

  • wow, this gave me the ingeneous idea to use lego figurines as dungeons and dragons minis. those dang minis cost a fortune for starting players like me.

  • My GM, uses this for everything. were playing shadowrun and champions. haha ohh so true , never split the party. I am a multi form fighter, and i had to go save our speedster at least a mile away fomr everyone. i got stomped

  • Hehe...reminds me of my group...except they can't stop the thief (me!) even when they try...my rolls are always better than theirs, on top of the million stealth bonuses! This song is by far one of my favorites!

  • This video is awesome, and is in my list of URLs shared with everyone who joins our D&D campaign.

  • Love the use of Fat Dragon Games dungeon stuff

  • Haha best video ever but it's ok to split the party in my group because my group is a bunch of barbarians

  • Awesome-Sauce! +1

  • One of the funniest things that happened to my party, for the two years I played D&D what when the cleric spent a while dancing in the nude in a pocket dimension and came back... without picking up his equipment. or armour. or underwear.

  • Masterfully done, and a very true lesson all D&D players should learn. Never, ever split the party. It always ends badly.

  • Ever seen a party of 4 bards try to take on a troll?

  • Haven, PUT down that paladin's +5 Holy Avenger!

  • @etwgoose Where did that one come from?

  • HAHAH I SAW HAGRID FROM HARRY POTTER AT 1:29! They said he was an orc...lmao

  • something tells me that Shaggy & Scooby wanted Fred to hear this song

  • A too loud for my taste.

  • @MadWritter Let me introduce you to the volume. Turn it down! That is all

  • @etwgoose do kyou know the volume knob, because that's always avaliable tio YOU, just saying

  • @etwgoose You know, there's a volume knob on your speakers to adjust the volume to.

  • HA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAA love this

  • How many Call of Cthulhu players does it take to change a light bulb?

All of them. In CoC, you REALLY Never Split the Party!

  • i'm always the mage. i'm a squishy. i've learned the hard way. never walk out of sight range of the palidins(fighters). and don't let the theif out of sight! seriously, you think after dying, like, four times in one week would of taught him...

  • one of the better lego vids i have seen

  • wow thats funny. its only ok to split the party if its full of druids gone down dif paths.

  • This is really, really great. Well done!

  • isn't that true. my first d&d adventure was like this, except it was never let that fighter out of sight! he got in more trouble than that theif in the video! (good job with it, by the way.) ;)

  • I was playing the bard in a game one day. I actually sang this song.

  • creative.

  • This is epic!

  • Fuck those 13 haters who didn't like this song. Go to wal-mart and buy some creativity.

  • "we caught him stuffing pockets in the secret treasure roooooooom"

"heh heh heh heh, i'm in politics" ... rofl

  • Sorry for the double post, but I have to say that this is really well done and the song sticks in your mind and has a Save Throw check of 45 to go away :P

  • 3:08 Should choose St. Cuthbert as his deity xD

  • Epic!!!!

  • cant stop laughing that was great!

  • Both creative and funny! Great work!

  • take THAT stephen lych, hes such a sterio type(love its dnd though)

  • ew, now it's got yellow on it... XD

  • so true, my warlock/fighter in Neverwinter does what ever they want. 1's over here the other(s) plural r off hacking at some iron golem O______O

  • Hurrah!

  • In my party, I was the character that got roasted. I was a dwarven barbarian/ranger soon to be going into bear warrior. I was also the only melee oriented character there and my AC was 18. As a defense, I dealt crap metric tonnes of damage

  • I've been roasted my a friendly sorc's fireball.

that same sorc happend to kill a party member with a fireball in the next encounter...

  • One of the few times I've been glad to fail an attack roll was when I found out afterward that, had the spell succeeded, it would have got three of my party members in the blast. Oops. XD The moral of the story: differentiate between "enemies" and "creatures."

  • pfff who need a ranger they got a rouge

  • Hehe dude, it's rogue not rouge.

I'd guess a ranger would help out quite a lot better than rouge.

  • You've just left town, dreams of grand treasures dancing about in your head.

The dungeon crawl that's going to make you oh so rich is just two days ride to the north. You're so excited.

Four days later: You're lost in the wilderness, you've been ambushed seventeen times, and the rogue stole all of your gear in the middle of the night. Oh, if only you had a ranger to save you!

Fortunately, you do have your rouge, so at least you can die looking pretty.

  • @MadelHawkeyei Agreed I think the ranger is the best. never leave home without one

  • I always scorch our monk with fireballs...

I've burnt his vest several times.

    Now I'm a ranger though.....

  • And this is so brilliant...

  • I like this song because I do play DnD

  • F*cking awesome!! 5/5 great video XD

  • 42 the answer of all the troubles and the stuff about the ultimate question, about life and other things!

  • it's true, never let the thief out of sight. We tend to steal things ;)

  • I have played in this party,it was quite entertaing since i was the damm theif.

    I loved causing trouble.

  • 42!!!!!!!!!! hahahahaha

  • I showed my gaming group this one today. It was decided that this song and video get an epic win.

  • Our party never really got along, a lot of pickpocketing and I once nearly dived into a well to get away from them.

  • I once went in a split party, my animal companion saved me and the fighter from being strangled. hehe, that was funny.

  • OMG!!! That was so freaking awesome. I had a party split on me once. Then they ran into each other in a dark room and nearly killed each other. Good times. XD

  • Awesome!

  • "Alright! Who had the damn lobster bisque?" Pure genious!! And whoever came up with "Now Serving Number 42" knows the pain of being a cleric. Too, too funny.

  • that is wonderaful!!

  • oh that's awesome!... I wish my party would remember that rule...

  • this is AMAZING!

  • Never Split the Party

thats an important thing to do in D&D

    especially in a dungeon

  • Can anyone tell me what the chords are for this song? My friends always start each session with this, and I would love to accompany them on my guitar.

  • i love it.. the rouge is in politics

  • thats great, best D&D video Ive seen

  • DON'T YOU KNOW

    Great performance at megacon!

  • Ahaha! Love it!

  • Brilliant! I happen to disagree with 'never split the party' but then I happen to play the thief most of the time...

  • Never let that damn thief out of siiiighhhttt

[sucks to be whoever's with me, then 8D]

  • Comment removed

  • Great song. Rule #1 Never, EVER split the party.

  • And never let that d*** theif out of sight. Words to live by!

  • Great video lmao!!! I posted a Lego film not to long ago called Dungeons & Legos. Action adventure and RPG spoof with a stable storyline for the series.

  • That is soooo cute!!!

  • AWESOME!! Hope to see you guys at ICON at Brentwood!

  • I LOVE this video!! Cute song and the Lego animation is priceless!! Please do more!!

  • Dude, seriously. This is awesome. D&D does not equal virgin. It's a social game too, so yes they would require lives -.-

    Way to stereotype.

  • SICK FREAKS!!! You can take that as a compliment. I love RPG-freak people... =)

  • very well made. How hard was it to make that? and also how long did it take? It's true never let the damn thief out of sight!

  • Hm...the coffee table was seriously compromised for a solid three months. More tedious than hard, but I learned a lot about Blu-Tac and slime adherence properties in the process ;)

  • Cool I really like it. I swear if I hed the money I'd buy the Con Suite album, but poor people in debt can't do much really. Keep up the good work and you guys rock!

  • Haha Now that was awesome Catchy tune too.

  • In my group the theif wouldn't live as long as this one.Every theif we get new has the same middle name,KENNY!

  • In a dark fantasy D&D game I'm running, the party split up... so that the two mages went on their own and ended up being cornered in a prison-like area fighting for their lives. One mage desperately tried to keep the swarm of enemies at bay with spells; the other panicked and magically locked himself inside one of the cells. Were it not for the miraculous, untimely arrival of the others, comical and violent annihilation would have been imminent. I thought of this song. :D

  • Two mages alone is rather like an unwrapped Twix candy...

  • @emeraldroseband If nothing eats them, they will eventually melt on their own?

  • @KmortProphecy bwahaha! wow, the mages should never ove out of sight of the cleric. palidin, is reccomended

  • And you never let ME!!! out of sight (I'm always the thief MAHAHAHAHAHA)

you rocked out on this video (and i have never pissed my leathers...)

  • Perhaps I believe you. But, like Robin Hood, have you ever tore your leather jerkin off?

  • Sigh... that song was uterly brilliant, the brick film merely a highlight but still very entertaining!

  • Due to the fact that I am Spanish, I have not undestood all the song, but it was very funny.

    Genuine.

  • Did you by chance use some of Fat Dragon products in there? I think I recognize the bookcases and stairs, for example. I loved the hidden door.

    Great and catchy.

  • Fat Dragon it is! Great products, though I had to abuse them significantly ;)

  • whenever i split away from the party i usually get dropped with in a round then the party saves me

  • When I DM, I like the be especially cruel to split parties. That'll teach them.

  • I like to split parties, but I'm nicer about it; usually the party split serves two objectives which need to be handled simultaneously, and I don't punish the players for splitting up.

Of course, there have been arguments among the players over splitting up, not unlike the arguments over picking teams for grade school kickball. "Oh, so my ranger's stealth skills aren't good enough for you? The rogue's not the only stealther here, you know." "Why do YOU guys need the cleric?" Et cetera.

  • Raise your hands if you have never played in this party.

If you hand is up find some newbes and do it.Only then will you understand.

It is true, you never split the party.

  • Love it! Where's my dice....???

  • eww, now its got yellow on it

  • my mom loves this

  • Yes, YES!!!!

Emerald Rose, once again you have proven your UBERness.

    This is amazing.

  • how has he "once again proven his UBERness" if he's only made one video?

  • Simple my dear watson, I know the entire band in person, and there in, see them proven the uberness on a regular basis. Also please forgive the caps lock on the original post.

  • Because I am a God Among Men in various unrelated ways, which may someday be revealed to you ;) -mw

  • I love this!

  • Great post, loved it, especially the Cleric and his Holy Symbols @ about 3:10. And yes marching order is very important as well as never spliting party. Also keep an eye on that damned thief!

  • I first heard this one at Dragon con 07. I heard it on stage, I was wildly entertainged then, being a D&D geek. This version is just. . too funny. Absolute judos.

  • LOL great song.

  • this is really really good :)

  • Too funny.

  • Mató XD Genialísimo.

  • perfect video XD

  • I want this on-demand for a certain DnD group who loves to try the "Scooby Doo" method. lol

  • Scooby-Doo method? What's that?

  • "Let's split up and look for clues"

  • @TheIrishVampire last time me and my party said that, our make almost died, i saved his ass, becuse i decided to follow and see if he could find something valuable, guess what i was?

  • LMAO!!! That was AMAZING!! YAY for Legos. You guys are awesome!

  • this is now my fav song. the vid Is cute and funny. I love it :)

  • this is cool!

  • This....is is so awesome I am at a loss for words.

  • Ah, just singing this song will make keeping the newbies in line so much easier in the future. "Don't you know..." Hehe. Love it.

  • Flippin' awesome. The best thing ever.

  • Oh, My Goddess. I'm so glad I'm not the only geek in town! How awesome. What a spectacular tribute. Go geeks!

  • So very fabulous - and TRUE! Can't wait to buy the new album at D*Con! :-)
