  • @zerussomaniac Thanks so much. I just love this set! Mics and a new tunes set up is on the way for this year can not wait till its all up and running! Thanks again for watching!

  • Great Job man! I think it's awesome (and little bit funny) how you like to play such newer bands, when my Dad can't even sit through one song of newer bands like Phoenix, arctic monkeys, passion pit, etc. Plus i was really confused on one part and you cleared it up for me, so thanks for that.

  • Of all the drum covers of this song I've found, yours is definitely the closest. Rock on! Great band, just saw them at Bonnaroo, they kicked ass

  • @greeksteam Thanks so much for your great comments. I Real Player or drummers that have played this song do it different them I. I actually just tried to make it a bit easier for me to play so I could move on. Great Band for sure!!!

  • Of all the drum covers of this song on youtube, you're definitely the closest to what they actually play. Great band, just saw them at bonnaroo, great show.

  • @greeksteam Thanks again

  • it haunts me why does this vid doesnt have more views great job man

  • @GuIVslingerGaming I think its because other drummers are looking to see how to play this song EXACTLY like the way the drummer plays it. I do change it up a bit and to some it may not be that noticeable. Thanks for such a great comment and watching.

  • @dgarreis Man but you did an excellent job at it . Your own style is perfect for this song man and its really fun .

  • Wow your good !

  • @AsianInABox Thanks for your great comment and watching! Took a look at your site very cool!

  • five stars man!!! very good but maybe try with plates more.. i've heard it with hithat and it's allso good.. anyway, AWESOME

  • @JouqKteq I have to ask Plates?

  • well, sorry, i'm not english, i ment the hit hat, you know, that golded things.. well but it doesn't mater, really... I'm starting at playing the drums and trying to play this song but it's quite difficult for me..!! jajaja,

  • @JouqKteq Nice! You should go to Google and type there name and David Letterman show. You can also type in Saturday Night Live and there name. Those 2 shows have the best showing of how they really play it! No problem with the English thing!! The other thing you can use for this is Google Translator. You write what you want and it translates for you I will show you here.

  • @JouqKteq @ JouqKteq Nice!

  • @dgarreis jajaja!! yes, that's right! i sometimes use atranslator, but the hit hat has an specialname in spanish, and it means plate, for eating, and i didn't jnow how to say it, jaja, but thankyou anyway!

  • @JouqKteq Very cool! I am glad you told me this! I did not know. See just goes to show ya everyone can learn something new here! Thanks again!

  • woooooooooooooooooooow you master!!!!

  • @tomac1966 Its a real tough one. I had to play this over I dont know how many times to get it to sound some what right.

Thanks for watching and the great comment.

  • Dgarries you're my daily idol!

  • i dont play drums but it look really fun

  • u bet drums are fun

  • Dude your toms are AWESOME!

  • @rct3freak11 Thanks for your comments and watching! No really I am not that great on this one. I like the way the original song is played. Most here is close but not perfect! By the way love your songs on your site! Thanks again!

  • this is amazing! im 23 and freak out thinking that im not gonna be able to play drums when im older and listen to bands like phoenix and stuff hahah... thanks for proving me wrong!!!! great job too

  • @coldgettindumb Its one reason I keep doing it to keep it all in tune. I saw this band on Saturday night live fell in love with it so much contacting the drummer that played it on the show! I was also inspired by his drumming WOW wish I could play it like him but hey still not so bad. Could probably get away with this in a band but not a recording studio. Thanks again for watching your only as old as you feel as they say.

  • Not trying to be rude or anything at all, but you should try playing less for the tom beat, it's more spaced out and syncopated. play quarters with the bass drum then fill in the tom beat with 16ths, but don't play the toms on 1, 2, 3 or 4. Haven't seen any other covers, but that's what I figured it out as, and it sounds like it to me. He's a crazy good drummer, and he loves the syncopated stuff.

  • @UnherdUHVE Thanks so much for your honest comments. I play by ear dont read or know notes. Yes way to much Toms here. Its really not like the song I know but just loved playing it my way or any way. Thanks again for your expert comments as I can see your a drummer also. I love the way he plays it. Thanks for watching.

  • Very great ... unfortunately the sound is not very good ^^

but it helüed me a lot to play it on my drumset :D

    Yeah nice !

  • @benedikt11 Thanks for watching!!

  • Awesome job. I was going to give this a shot soon. It helped me out.

  • @Mashishi1988 Thanks so much for the comments!!

  • Great job dgarreis!

  • @Encoarchment thanks a bunch for the comment and watching!!!

  • This is EPIC! ive tried to play this song so many times but i failed... haha ur great.

  • @petman56 Not really that good really. I do this my way just because its easy for me and like you I got tired of praticing it so many times I decided to just PLAY it.

Thanks again for the comments means alot to me!

  • Haha bald

  • @BonnieMint Thanks for the comment I guess! I see why you are watching nice vid of them on your site!! Love the Band for sure.

  • nice cover!

  • @markatom656 Thanks so much for watching and your comments it means alot to me!

  • You're adding tom beats try this...

    kick, snare, kick, snare

    kick, snare, kick, snare

    kick, snare, kick, snare

kick, snare, 14in tom, 16 in tom

kick, snare, 14in tom, snare roll

the second time through repeat the lines with the toms 4 times stopping after the first tom on the 4th time.

Not criticizing, just helping out a fellow drummer. Its a tough beat. Look up this song live on Jimmy Kimmel on google, they pulled it from Youtube.

  • Thanks I will give it try for sure. You know I did go look at vids and he plays this a couple different ways. I did mine because it was just easy for me. I will go back and look at what you suggested! Its a tuff one for me!

  • me gusto mucho este cover, quizas podrias probar de hacer uno de the kooks o coldplay si es que te gustan

i really liked this cover, maybe you could try making one of the kooks and/or coldplay (if you like them, obviously)

  • Yes very good thought I do play Coldplay could do one of them. Thanks again for the comments.

  • te juro que sos un capoo, te banco a muerte, segui tocando que lo haces muyy bienn

  • Another great Video and song. Would you take any requests? lol I think I would surely enjoy hearing you play Electric Worry from the band Clutch. There is a selfish reason of course as I want to learn that song myself and seeing you as a reference point would help... hahahaha. Again you play a great sounding kit and have great skill. I am still working on limb independence... my right hand still wants to come down when my right foot does on the base pedal. *sighs*... lol

  • Thanks again I will need to listen to the song and get back to ya on this. I have been playing for a while and dont worry I have my own problems. Comments mean alot to me.!! Good luck pratice pratice.

  • absolutely great man this should really have more views what kind of kit do u use?

  • Just posted this Thanksgiving day. I have a Pearl Custom Session all maple. I have only had this set for around a little over a year. Still working on it! Thanks for the comment and watchiing!!

  • that song is great, the singing sounds like the beetles kinda

  • Yes I actually exchanged E-mail with the drummer of this Band/song. Wish I could play it like him and yes they do have a Beatles sound to them. I think they are from London. Thanks for watching!!
