IDK MUCH ABOUT HIM HE COULD TURN OUT TO BE A LESSER VIRSION OF ALEX BROWN BECAUSE IF HE IS WOULD SHOULD HAVE JUST KEPT ALEX MAN AND AS FOR MARK ANDERSON THE BEARS ARE SO STUPID TO THINK HE IS GOING TO BE THE SAME GUY AS BEFORE BECAUSE MAN HE IS NOT HE IS TO SMALL TO THIN TO BE A DE ALRIGHT HE HAS NO BULK ON HIM AT ALL AND THEN I REMEMBER 2SEASONS AGO THE BEARS WERE GOING TO PUT MARK ANDERSON AT DT????????????? CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT SHIT DT????? THE BEARS NEED TO HURRY UP AND FIRE LOVIE AND JERRY
Man, if this guy lives up to the hype imaging the Julius Peppers/ Corey Wootton duo for the next few years.. Then add in healty Tommie Harris and we're talking about one of the best d-line in the league...
@0NE51RUM We'd look like a defensive version of the Vikings offensive line. I think they (Vikings line) are going to get rocked this year by the Bears. Grandpa Favre better hope they are handing the ball off on every play.
If Wootton plays like two years ago, we will be amazing. It will look like Freeny-Mathis. If he plays injured, he will look like Alex Brown when he's tired
Play at 0:24 is very impressive. Wootton drops into coverage there and makes an interception, he looks like an OLB on that play. Remember now this guy is 6'7" 270lbs! Very agile cat right here. Don't forget, no one really knew who Briggs was out of Arizona.
This is a nice late round pick. This guy was a first round lock before he had a knee deal - wasn't fully healed last year. The Bears will probably do their red shirt thing (which I don't really like) with Wootton. He looks like a very serviceable end who with some technique work could be an impact player.
@alshathri He looks much slower since his knee injury though. There were many quality offensive tackles and guards still available for the picking. I'm more upset at the moore pick because we have plenty of undersized corners
@nabs307 Well, I don't mean to be a pessimist, so I guess I will just hope that he proves me wrong. I still think we should have either drafted a better CB, one with size and instincts, or an offensive linemen with that pick
@nabs307 They are more than one player away from a solid offensive line. Unless they are planning on signing Alan Faneca then I think they should have either moved up and gotten Asamoah or they should have drafted offensive line in the fourth.
@alshathri I can't find any film of him except one thing that a KState person made. They seemed to love him there though and he WAS going up against good offenses, but I still don't know if a small, not blazing quick corner with poor run support and instincts is what we needed
Yet another year and my fellow bears fans are impressed by garbage. I hope Lovie and Jerry are fired after this year. This dude isn't going to do **** in the NFL.
It was a knee I believe an ACL. He did not have the explosiveness shown in the video because of the knee injury. However, toward the end of the year he showed glimpses of getting the explosiveness back. The injury is the only reason he could be a second round pick even with it I think he could go in the 1st round.
I really hope the Detroit Lions can get him in the second round. His injury really hurt his play and any team in the late first or second round will have themselves a steal in Wootton.
What was his injury? I never heard of the guy until a few minutes ago when I went over to draftcountdown and saw he was the #2 rated senior DE prospect for this year. Watching this vid I can see why. Very explosive off the ball and brings the wood when he gets to the QB. The Falcons could definitely use a guy like him to replace the Mr. MIA aka John Abraham

Man I want this guy to play opposite of Julius Peppers. I don't think Mark Anderson can handle the starting LE job.

@sokkersweep22....Bears drafted, J'Marcus Webb 6'8 325 lbs. right offensive tackle. He was a beast for West Texas A&M.
